Dear Ben, We are truly sorry that what was meant to be a special evening for you and your wife ended in such disappointment. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, especially when you had travelled to Stockholm and planned your evening around visiting Etoile. We would, however, like to clarify what happened with the reservation. To confirm a table at Etoile, our booking process requires a credit card registration as the final step. Unfortunately, this step was not completed in this case, which meant that the reservation was never confirmed in our system. A confirmed reservation always generates a booking confirmation, and unfortunately no such confirmation was issued for this booking. That said, we understand that the booking process may not have made this sufficiently clear. We take that seriously and will be reviewing this with our technical support team and booking service to see how we can make the distinction between a pending and confirmed reservation even clearer in the future. Whenever a situation like this occurs, we always do everything we can to find a solution on the night. Unfortunately, we were completely full and were unable to accommodate you at Etoile, which is why our team offered to arrange a table at our sister restaurant Celeste instead. We fully appreciate that this was not the evening you had planned. Regardless of how the situation arose, we are genuinely saddened that this became your experience of Etoile. We would very much appreciate the opportunity to continue the conversation and hopefully, at some point, have the chance to welcome you and show you the experience we had hoped to give you in the first place.
