Egentligen borde det finnas ett eget stjärnsystem för krogar som Ergo - mat, dryck och service tillhör nämligen en helt egen kategori. Det är inte billigt - alls. Men för den som har råd lämnar man med minnen och smakupplevelser man bär med sig. Kanske är det snart dax för en andra stjärna?

Having the small lunch menu. Very clever, extreme tasty, also using all directions of taste. Service as well 5 Star Rating. All together - perfectly nice food experience while visiting Stockholm. Comparing with other 1 Michelin Star Restaurants world wide, pricing is little higher than e.g. in Germany - but worth every cent especially if you compare among others in Stockholm. We will come back!

An amazing experience! The food was incredibly creative and delicious, with every dish showcasing thought, precision, and a real sense of finesse. What made the experience particularly special was the storytelling behind the wine and the way the staff beautifully orchestrated the entire menu. Every dish, wine pairing, and explanation felt carefully considered, with an incredible attention to detail. Nothing felt random; everything came together to create a seamless and memorable dining experience. It’s this combination of culinary creativity, excellent wine, warm service, and attention to every little detail that really sets Ergo apart. If you’re deciding which Michelin-starred restaurant to visit in Stockholm, Ergo should be at the top of your list. For me, it sets the bar exceptionally high! When: September 2026

Sometimes in life you stumble upon the most delightful and happiest of days. Upon entering Ergo in Stockholm, the crisp cleanliness and welcoming staff immediately began our journey. The five course seasonal menu was preceded by some single bites which miraculously calmed our group and brought any conversation to an immediate end. With eyes rolling into your head and the sense of harmony, each of the courses combined unexpected ingredients into limbic events that made you feel privileged to be there. The idea of combining horse, caviar, sea urchin and argan oil was so unique and yet completely in symmetry. Hamachi, presented as a cool and refreshing summer delicacy, was far from any prior preparation. The courses continued to amaze and bring wonderful combinations. Even the sweetbread which was prepared with black trumpet mushrooms, corn, and winter truffle, was almost inconceivably delicate, and representative of the larger-than-life flavors being created. Chef Petter Johansson not only took pride in describing his creations to each table, but he also took the time to sit with us and share his journey and dreams. He is a humble gentleman with a warming persona. We truly enjoyed his enthusiasm which could be felt in each dish. I can’t think of a higher recommendation if you ever find yourself in Stockholm and would even consider a trip with this amazing experience at the center.
