I would definitely recommend this place for housing to any student stranded and thinking of getting an appartment. What they advertise is what you get. I liked that. It's real and there is no catfishing. You do have to get your own furniture and appliances which you have to get rid of when you move out. I found it inconveniencing to be getting my own curtain rod and I wish they would fit the lighting so that you only need to fix a bulb. It would be a much easier transition if these were included.

This is not student housing. They rent a portion of their apartment out to students and the rest to random people. I’ve lived here for the first year of university and there were good things: -Bus stop in front of the house (doesn’t go to uni though) -Gym in the building (affordable price!) -Building administration was always nice and helpful to me However, the actual apartment is fairly terrible. The layout has you sleep right next to the very noisy fridge. The shower does not have enough water pressure and takes forever to heat up the water. The window is huge and gets super cold during the winter. The laundry room can only be used 5 times a month and machines do not always work. The real problem though: THE HEATING. The house effectively controls your heating and decides when it is cold enough for you to turn on your heater. When you are finally able to turn it on, you’ll realize that heating is limited and is not enough to heat up the whole space. The website says that they will only come and fix your heating if your apartment is below 18 degrees. Sorry but 18 degrees might be good for your bedroom, but not for the entire living area. And then the best thing: the apartment has a vent in the walls which CAN NOT BE CLOSED!! There is a constant influx of cold air even in the winter. I am constantly freezing in this place. I am so glad to finally be moving out of this place and I can only advice anyone to be looking elsewhere for student housing if possible.
RapporteraThis is NOT a student appartment. It should not be allowed to carry that name. Only Pro: - easy to get a place (has it's reason, that many rooms are empty often) Cons: - balcony/ okay room - but: stove broken, heating broken window broken, I asked the houskeeper tp repaire multiple times, no one ever repaired. It was cold and windy, also neighbours smoke went in, unbearably - surroundings: the area in and around the house doesn't feel that safe, wouldn't feel safe going for a walk at night - the people are weird - I thought I would be living with students as neighbours but most people I see don't appear to be students - whole appearence feels more like lower-class surroundings (old, not in best condition, dirty, poeple again (some look like famylies/ poor), reception with bad opening hours, high buildings around, feeling of social seggregation) Conclusion: If you want a nice surrounding, save area, be close to your university, have students around you... don't go here Else: do not go here! Only reason: you tried but did not find anything else. In that case have a look at barcamp, more expensive but way better! Anything is better than Heimstaden Nonstudenthus! All that is only my experience and how I perceive, if you are considering to stay here, feel free to come to your own conclulusion. But be aware housekeeper has some disvriminating behavior. Better take 40 pictures of everything when yoj move in and even if there is some tiny thing like dust make an insertion about that. They don't fullfil their part of the clntract but are after every money they can make from you! Take care, stay safe!
RapporteraForget about “student housing.” This was less a dormitory and more an open-air crime museum with beds attached. Living here was like an intense marathon through all Netflix True Crime Series', complete with weekly police cameos, mystery stains, and a courtyard that doubled as a scrapyard. The Yard: The outdoor area looked like the aftermath of a failed DIY apocalypse shelter. Abandoned sofas, shopping carts, rusting bikes without wheels, and piles of trash with an almost artistic composition. At times it resembled a modern art exhibition about late-stage capitalism — just with more cigarette packs and kebab boxes. The Police: They weren’t visitors; they were neighbors (literally). Blue lights flashing outside was the building’s natural nightlight. Police cars would park like delivery vans, only instead of packages they collected residents or confiscated mopeds. Sometimes they even brought a helicopter spotlight for extra ambience — perfect for late-night studying if your desk lamp broke. The Hallways: A chemical fog of cigarette smoke, cannabis, and substances that probably don’t have Latin names hung permanently in the air. Stepping into the corridor meant stepping into a community experiment where everyone was either chilling, dealing, or arguing passionately about something you couldn’t understand unless you were fluent in Arabic slang. The Elevator: Truly the crown jewel. Every week it offered new “decor.” Dried blood one day, shattered glass another, sometimes mysterious red handprints as if someone wanted to leave a warning. It wasn’t so much an elevator as a portal into an alternate universe where janitors had given up on life. Taking the stairs often felt safer, though not by much. The Soundtrack: Daytime: quiet except for muffled basslines leaking through walls. Nighttime: constant sirens, shouting in the courtyard, scooters revving, and the occasional bang that made you wonder if it was fireworks, a car backfiring, or something that should be reported to the evening news. Academic Value: Forget lectures — here you studied criminology by osmosis. Two years in Rosengård Student House gave me firsthand expertise in forensics (elevator stains), urban anthropology (junkyard culture), and conflict resolution (learning when to look the other way). Final Verdict: Rosengård Student House wasn’t accommodation. It was initiation. If you survived it, you earned not only your degree but also a PhD in Street Survival. Would I recommend it? Yes — if you want to live inside a live-action crime documentary. Would I live there again? Only if Malmö University starts offering hazard pay.
