I've had some bad experiences with other Hertz locations and was considering switching to another rental service, but I had to get a car the next day when I was in Karlstad, and went with them again. Later on, there was an issue about the booking (my fault), but the Karlstad office reached out and really helped me out in a pleasant, professional way. This really redeemed Hertz to me. Thanks guys!

We rented a car with a babyseat. The seat they gave us was a safety hazard. It was clearly at least 15 years old, while babyseats should not be used for more than 8 years at most. The isofix kept rattling so badly that we had to take it out and use the babyseat with the seatbelt instead. One of the protective belt covers was missing, so the belt was cutting into my child's neck, leaving red marks. I was so terrified of using this babyseat that we borrowed a much better seat from acquaintances the moment we arrived at our destination. I cannot believe that Hertz uses such bad seats. Apparently, car rental agencies here in Sweden do not care at all about whether the children transported in their cars are save or not. Nevertheless, when my parents came for a visit, we wanted to rent a car at this shop for them. Since the shop closes very early and my parents arrived later, I asked them whether they could leave the key somewhere for us. A couple of months prior, they did this for us, so we knew it was possible. The person I talked to on the phone told me to ask again in a week, so I wrote them an email. I never heard a word from them. That seems to be common practise here. Anyway, not going to give them a third chance.

Our current office in Karlstad was opened in June this year, so all their child seats are new. It is our routine to review our child seats every year and ensure that they are usable and meet all requirements.
