Room was clean and fairly spacious, but a bit utilitarian. No character and easy to mop out. Location was useful for the ski tunnel, but I had to walk in and out of town several times for meals and getting transport Staff were not that welcoming, or visible, even at breakfast. No evening meal options in the restaurant on site......not sure if this is a seasonal thing or not ?

We stayed here in August with friends during a driving trip from Stockholm to Bergen. It seems to mostly be ski teams who stay here while training at the nearby ski tunnel, and it felt a little like being in a school or camp dormitory, with a shared tea & TV room outside of the bedrooms. Our room and beds were clean & comfortable, the shower worked well, and the other guests were considerate about noise. After a long day in a car we appreciated walking in the lovely wood surrounding the lodge and being able to use the saunas. The staff were helpful and the cafeteria’s food was fine, and most important, had good coffee. We definitely recommend this as a good spot for travelers!
