I love Scotch and Soda and buy regularly from their Central Stockholm stores, but last weekend I went to their location at Westfield in Solna. I found the service there to be extremely bad. Two individuals were working, but one of them disappeared for most of the time, and we were left with a single clerk who was extremely unhelpful. His body language and manner of speaking was alienating and stand-offish, and he provided no help at all in getting sizes. For example, when we asked if he had a large in a jacket, he brusquely replied no and did not try to call any of the other stores or look online for us. Swedish is not my friend's strongest language, so every time I tried to use English to include my friend, this clerk would insist on only using Swedish (last time I checked, Scotch and Soda was a global brand). The final straw regarding his behavior was this: While I was busy in the changing room (I ended up buying nearly 3000 kr worth of merch), all I could hear was him loudly talking about how he was just doing the job at Scotch and Soda for a short period of time because what he really wanted to do was real estate in Stockholm (apparently he had moved to Stockholm from the west coast). This is the height of self indulgence. If you are working in a service profession, you don't loudly broadcast that the job is a holding place for you. The whole thing was really just awful. If I could have given zero stars, I would. Do not shop at this location–it will just make you grouchy for the rest of your day!
