This was a terrifying experience. Started off decent, smudged but vacuumed floors. Comfortable bed and a nice shower. Went to bed and 20 minutes later the fire alarm goes off. Everyone goes out side and waits. 45 minutes later and the fire department hasn’t shown up. A lady tells us her husband set off the alarm heating his dinner. An hour later no fire department the alarm is still going. The manager who told everyone it will go off in 45 minutes is no longer answering the phone. The City Nuisance patrol officers show up and explain there is no fire and that the problem is a know fault in the system. Apparently this happens so frequently that the fire department never comes. The night maintenance crews can’t silence the alarm because it requires an override code the day manager has who doesn’t respond. This landlord owns multiple units like the Niro, be careful selecting your lodging. If this has been a real fire people would have gotten seriously hurt.

The fire alarm is currently going off. It’s about 9:40pm. No one came to help. They left all the tenants to sit outside with the noise with no assistance. It’s been over one hour right now with the noise and we cannot sit inside or sleep.
