We had such a wonderful experience at this hotel! The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. The environment was cozy, comfortable, and relaxing, which made us feel right at home. Everything was thoughtfully taken care of, and the overall experience was truly enjoyable. We really appreciated the warm hospitality and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with great service. We hope to come back again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Old and charming, we didn't have a problem with noise, bring eye masks for the light coming thru the light curtains. Tiny bathroom. Appreciated the tea and cake left out, and we liked the breakfast which fueled us for another day of sightseeing.

Because the hotel structure is leaning, the bed position is at an angle. You are literally sleeping while avoiding falling off your bed. That is, of course, sleeping between the hours of 03:00 and 06:00 when the multitude of bar patrons aren’t waking you up with their drunken screams. While the location is spectacular, there is no trade off for a good night’s sleep and you will not sleep well here unless you are deaf.

Looking for a Marriott? Do not book here! Looking for an authentic, perfectly located, historical room in delightful Gamla Stan? Hotel Sven Vintappare checks many boxes. I had great difficulty finding a place to stay without the use of toxic scents in Stockholm until I stumbled upon this great place. You will hear bells, voices, creaks and enjoy the kindness of sweet, Tia who could not have been more helpful to us. There is no elevator. The winding, narrow stairs are difficult with luggage (or even without if you're old - lol), the floors are uneven, the bathroom is tiny and we would not hesitate to book again.

Great value for location and character. People over 6ft are advised to bring helmets (in the time of dragons, people were smaller). The highlight was our gracious host, firing up the oven in the downstairs cafe so it's like waking up inside a pastry.
