Sunday June 9 at 17: unreliable - non-usable. Tried to help a Polish woman check-out her rental car from the self-checkout machine outside. Her license was up-to-date, clean, modern but the machine just kept saying it couldn't read it. (She tried all four possible directions just in case.) It worked just fine with mine (though I didn't have a reservation). All the 30+ mins I was there, she was in the phone queue to Hertz. All the time it said "you are number one in the queue" - pretty obvious Hertz didn't have any one working on a Sunday. Her 80+ grandparents were waiting along. I don't know if they got it resolved. Ridiculous that there is no way to enter the information manually. Poor implementation on a critical service

There are various reasons why a driver's license has to be handled manually by our support, which is open 24 hours, every day of the year. Do not rent a car from this place. We rented a vehicle and arrived to pick it up. Turns out there wasn’t anyone working the counter that day, so we had to use a self service kiosk. We couldn’t get it to work, so we ended up taking a taxi after 45 minutes of trying. I tried to correspond with the Visby Hertz support email, but they didn’t help. I asked if they could cancel the transaction (since we never got our car) and they ignored me. Two days later I saw the charge on my bank account… total scam.
