Ein großartiges indisches Restaurant direkt beim Kran in Eriksberg. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet – frisch, aromatisch und perfekt abgeschmeckt. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und aufmerksam, was den Besuch richtig angenehm gemacht hat. Besonders gefallen hat mir, dass man direkt in die offene Küche sieht und miterlebt, wie die Gerichte zubereitet werden. Insgesamt ein sehr stimmiges Erlebnis mit starkem Essen und einer entspannten Atmosphäre am Wasser.

A cautionary tale for anyone who cares about consistent pricing I deliberately waited a few months before writing this review. Overall, this is the only serious problem I’ve had with this place, but I think it’s important enough to mention. If you’re planning to have a few alcoholic drinks here, I strongly recommend checking the price before ordering, paying for each round immediately, and keeping your receipts. On one weekend, I was charged 95 SEK for a 6 cl shot of a particular spirit. The following weekend, I ordered the same 6 cl shot and was charged 195 SEK. During that same visit, I ordered a beer and paid for it immediately: 59 SEK. When I went back for another of the exact same beer, I was charged 95 SEK. These weren’t differences between separate menus or different employees — the two beer purchases were handled by the same person during the same visit. Maybe there is an explanation for these discrepancies, but none was given to me, and as a customer I expect the same product to cost the same price unless I’m clearly informed otherwise. So my advice is simple: check the listed prices, pay attention when you’re charged, and keep your receipts. After my experience, I wouldn’t personally feel comfortable ordering several drinks here without keeping track of the prices.

Hi Bella Sinn, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We take any concern regarding incorrect charges very seriously, and we would genuinely have appreciated the opportunity to investigate this at the time of your visit. Our food and beverage prices are fixed according to our menus and POS system and are not set at the discretion of individual members of staff. If you were charged different amounts for what was genuinely the same product and serving size during the same visit, that is of course something we want to investigate. There may be an explanation, or an error may have occurred, but without knowing the dates of your visits or having the opportunity to review the transactions, it would not be responsible for us to speculate. What we do, however, strongly object to is the suggestion that our staff intentionally alter prices depending on whether a guest is “paying attention,” or that customers are “guaranteed to be ripped off.” That is a serious allegation and does not reflect how we operate our restaurants. We are also disappointed by the suggestion that, because we are an Indian restaurant, questionable pricing or “haggling” should somehow be expected. We believe concerns about a transaction can and should be raised without making generalisations based on culture or nationality. I would personally like the opportunity to establish exactly what happened. Please feel free to contact me directly at jimmy@daawat.se with the approximate dates and times of your visits, together with any transaction details you may have. I will personally review the transactions in our system and, if an incorrect amount was charged, we will of course take responsibility and rectify it. We welcome criticism when something has gone wrong and always use genuine feedback as an opportunity to improve.
