The fact most relevant about Allihoop to prospective residents is that the company declared bankruptcy last month and has already defaulted on some of their rental obligations. There is a high probability that they will be unable to honour any agreement you make with them. It is not surprising that the company has gone bankrupt to anyone who has lived there. There was a repeating and worsening pattern of poor management, poor offerings, and behaviour consistent with an organization perpetually short of funds. The deposit return process is the most direct evidence of this: Allihoop attempted to bill me for problems I raised with them when I moved in and it was only photographic evidence that saved me from unjustified fees. Even then, I received charges to replace many items. Curiously, former residents I know report arriving to rooms filled with obviously used items, including stained mattresses and yellow pillows, and then receiving charges to replace these items when they left. If Allihoop supplies new items in their rooms I do not know anyone who received them. Even leaving those things aside, the building is in an objectively poor state. Allihoop supplied non-functional kitchen equipment and a cinema room with broken cabling, and was often unable to heat the building to an acceptable temperature. When I moved in, my room included a towel warmer, which worked for one week before breaking. When I contacted maintenance to fix the issue, they claimed it never worked but when pressed, they claimed their confusion was because in many rooms the towel warmer never worked and they presumably never intended to fix it. The window in my room never sealed properly, making the room uncomfortably cold in the winter. The building's drainage system was clearly well beyond its service life and constantly leaked the smell of sewage into everyone's rooms. In spite of interminable and cacophonous construction work of unclear purpose, the building steadily became more decrepit over my stay and no structural problems were ever fixed. Allihoop was also unable to keep the common areas in a respectable state, with the sauna in particular being too disgusting to use. But even with those issues Allihoop did provide a pleasant and active community when I first arrived. Over time, those managing the community changed and Allihoop pivoted from targetting young professionals to courting international students. Those changes pushed the social atmosphere into a terminal decline, with people becoming siloed into national and racial groups. By the time I left there was no community to speak of and the perfunctory and ill-thought-out efforts by management to improve circumstances had no effect. Even if the company was not bankrupt, it would be impossible to recommend them. There are clear and apparently unfixable problems with the management, strategy, and finances of the company; should you choose to live at Allihoop this will become obvious in short order.

Attention: Deposit scam! I lived here twice. The first time was great. I made some very good friends and really enjoyed my stay. Location is very convenient. When I came back a few months later, everything had changed. Apparently the company desperately needed money for opening several new under-equipped and overpriced locations. Rents had gone up to a level that inflation alone can't explain, and they seemed to have dropped the application process completely. A few weeks later, half the Addams family had moved in and the ratio of 50% students and 50% working people had been dropped in favor of middle-aged unemployed men who booked the Sauna every day for hours at a time. When I moved out, large sums were deducted from my deposit for what was clearly just normal wear and tear after six months in an apartment where the furniture had already been used by several tenants before me. I later noticed that other reviewers (a few had even worked for allihoop as community builders) had described the same experience. Some even received the exact same photos of supposedly damaged items that I got, suggesting they reuse the same pictures to justify deposit deductions. They only reimbursed some of the deducted deposit after I called them out on this. It's sad to see what this place has turned into... Update: The company is bankrupt but they still let you sign contracts in some of the locations to get your deposit before they cancel your stay. Congrats to the management for this genius move!

Hi Andre, We genuinely hope you're doing well and have settled in happily wherever life has taken you since moving out of Allihoop around a year ago. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're genuinely pleased to hear that during your first stay you made some great friends, enjoyed your experience, and appreciated our convenient location. Creating communities where meaningful connections are made remains at the heart of what we do, and it's wonderful to know that this was part of your experience. We continue to receive many heartfelt testimonials from members who tell us that Allihoop has had a truly positive impact on their lives through the friendships and sense of community they've found here. That said, we do disagree with some of the comments made in your review. Regarding your move-out inspection, we acknowledge that we made an error concerning the stained cooking pot. As we explained to you at the time, two inspections took place on the same day, and both involved stained cooking pots. Unfortunately, the same photo was accidentally uploaded to both inspection files. This was a mistake on our side, and to remove any doubt, we decided not to charge you for this item at all. However, we cannot see, and do not believe, that the same photograph has been used as evidence in any other Allihooper's inspection. We take our move-out inspections seriously, and each case is assessed individually based on the condition of the studio at the time of inspection. We appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you all the best in the future. Best Regards The Allihoop Team

Hi Juan Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience at Allihoop Bromma Friends did not meet your expectations. We take feedback regarding facilities, noise, atmosphere, communication and the overall living experience seriously. Bromma Friends is a large shared living environment, and we continuously work to maintain and improve the building and its common areas. At times, this requires planned maintenance or renovations. When we recently renovated the kitchen, the work was completed within three days, cooking access was available during the period, and compensation was offered to the members who were impacted. We also do our best to present the building and facilities transparently through photos, 3D views and other material, so members can get a clear understanding of the space before moving in. That said, we always welcome feedback on where expectations may not have matched the actual experience. Regarding the deposit, we want to clarify that your full deposit was paid out. In general, our deposit process is based on clear move-out instructions, a move-out checklist, and documented room inspections. If any deduction is ever made, it is documented and shared with the member so they can understand the basis for the decision. Finally, we work hard to create a respectful and welcoming environment for all members. To protect people’s safety and comfort, we take reports of inappropriate behaviour towards other members seriously. While expectations around social interaction can differ, we have a responsibility to ensure that everyone feels safe and respected in the building. We are sorry that your stay ended with this impression, and we will continue using member feedback to improve the experience at Bromma Friends. Kind regards, Allihoop Team
I think the idea of allihoop is very nice. Having a big bulding with lots of people from all over the world, a garden, a big kitchen, a gym, a sauna, cinema… But the think is, the reality is a bit disappointing. So many people don’t know how to be clean in the share area, the stove in the kitchen works one day every two days, I was charged because I left one towel in the kitchen (so fair enough) but the think is every day after work I was able to see a whole mess in the kitchen (from the beginning of my stay to my last day, wich means those people were not charged also), so much noise from the other people everyday…. So it was kind not so easy to live with. I don’t recommend!

Hi Augustin Thank you for sharing your feedback, and for also recognizing the idea behind Allihoop. We are sorry to hear that the experience did not fully live up to your expectations. We appreciate you taking the time to write this, as feedback like this helps us understand what we need to improve going forward. Shared living can be a great way to meet people from all over the world, but we also understand that it depends heavily on everyone respecting the common areas and each other. Cleanliness, noise and how shared spaces are used are things we take seriously, and we know how frustrating it can be when this does not work as intended. During your stay, we did have a period where the shared kitchen and common areas were affected by an unusually messy group of residents. This required us to act more firmly than we normally need to, and the situation has since been addressed. As this is a community of people living together, it is important that the facilities are maintained together by everyone. At the same time, we also support this with daily cleaning of the shared areas. Regarding the stove, we could not find any request or support ticket from members reporting that it was broken. We are sorry that parts of your stay felt difficult, but we still hope that your overall stay had positive moments as well. You are always welcome back, and we will continue working to make the shared living experience better for our members. Kind regards, Allihoop Team
Living here for five months was a rollercoaster. Shortly after moving in, me together with all other residents were notified moving out would be mandatory some time soon, with behind-the-scenes uncertainty about the building lease. Rocky months followed with mixed messages and shallow promises from Allihoop. These uncertain times really impacted the vibe. But even if this hadn’t happened, living in Allihoop Bromma was in some ways a disappointment. The building is old and in a poor state. The rooms are noisy, due to the busy parking lot and bus/metro station right next to it as well as the noise from fellow residents and common rooms. The shared amenities look nicer in the pictures than they are in real life, for example the sauna and showers were incredibly dirty. The heating did not work at all (imagine in Swedish winter). The residents were not selected in line with what the website seemed to promise, resulting in living in an exchange student party with people who stack their dirty pans and dishes in the sink. The team is friendly, helpful and works hard to make up for all the downsides, but you can not fix something that is flawed from the core. The prices are high. It feels like Allihoop profits from a difficult housing market and desperate internationals. The move-out process was stressful and deposit return was not smooth, even though we left the room spotless. I have to admit that I had a nice time, met nice people, enjoyed the shared amenities, and applaud the team how quick they were to resolve daily issues, like a broken curtain or washing machine. Sharing the rent with a partner made the rent more affordable. But I would not recommend Allihoop to my friends, if they do not tend to big renovations and reflect how their can realise what they promise.
RapporteraStarted out as a promising stay. But for the quality of furnishing and age of rooms, the price was always too high. I also had a bad location for the room, just opposite a trash room, something I couldn’t choose. There were endless repairs going on which made it impossible to work or focus on anything at times and this continued throughout the few years I lived there and never fully disappeared. Like several others have commented the move out process was extremely stressful. I didn’t find the reasoning or photos convincing and they also didn’t return the deposits within the time they promised. Had to email multiple times. When you move in be sure to extensively document every little mark or spot in the apartment, and there indeed were several on this antiquated building. Even if you do you risk being charged for them but you at least have space for argument. Don’t pay too much attention to the facilities promised like the cinema and gym as they are by no means comparable to real facilities and mostly to justify the rent. Also the drainage in this building is terrible with awful odour coming off the outlets if you are away for a bit and apparently can’t be fixed without a full renovation.
Rapportera2,5/5 I lived at Allihoop for several months and honestly, the community experience was amazing — great people, fun events, and a genuinely warm atmosphere. I truly appreciated that part and met wonderful friends there. However, the move-out process was extremely disappointing. I was charged almost 30% of my deposit (around 300€) for very minor issues I.e a small mattress stain, a missing bowl, and some additional cleaning. I completely understand paying a fair cleaning fee, but these deductions were excessive and not proportional to the actual condition of the studio. What’s even more disappointing is the lack of transparency and how business-oriented the management has become. Having previously been as a community builder myself, I know how important trust and fairness are in maintaining a healthy community. Unfortunately, that sense of openness and care has really faded, and the way deposit deductions are handled feels more like a profit exercise than genuine maintenance. It’s a shame, because the concept and the people are fantastic — but the management practices and unclear policies take away from what could otherwise be a truly 5-star experience. I really hope Allihoop reconsiders its priorities and reconnects with its community values !

Hi Tatiana, and thank you for the detailed review. We’re very happy to hear that you enjoyed the community experience here in Bromma, and that you’re leaving with new connections and fond memories. We are also very grateful for your work as a Community Builder, and hope that it had a positive impact for you as well. It is a necessity to reset the condition of the Studios when a member departs for the sake of the next member, something we do try to communicate clearly. We also try to be as transparent as possible in that process, providing images of the inventory that needs to be replaced and the links to replacement items. To be very direct, we do not profit at any point of this process. However, if there is anything that you feel can be clarified, please let us know and we are happy to provide the relevant details. We do really appreciate that you took the time to provide us with this feedback. Our members are incredibly important to us, and the points you raised about openness and care will carry through to all teams to see how we can strengthen these values further going forward. We wish you all the best in your next chapter! The Allihoop Team
Good coworking, gym and a room, with very friendly staff for the price, but it doesn’t feel like home at all. The internal culture is very weak. Only a few people make an effort for the house(and I admire them), many leave the kitchen dirty and see the house as something temporal. Most people stick to their own groups, usually split by nationality or university. There is some diversity, but inclusivity is only emerging. The worst part: surveillance cameras everywhere to catch who leaves a mess and fine them :) like a high school. Overall, I don’t regret trying, but this place could be much better if residents were selected more carefully and a more welcoming and inclusive culture was established.
