We ate our final dinner in Stockholm this evening and enjoyed a wonderful meal at Voisine. The menu is small and everything on there looks excellent. They offer an excellent approach in their set menu, where they balance flavours on your behalf and it worked exceptionally well for us. They offer a wine pairing option too which sounded wonderful - but we don't like sweet wines and we love red wine so we just chose an example from their excellent wine list. First course was a fresh light tomato basil and goats cheese salad. It was fresh and well balanced and flavoursome. Its served with fresh butter and excellent bread. No splash remained. For main we had chicken with carrots on a carrot puree and a sauce blanquette. Every element was the essence of itself. Perfectly pickled sweet onions, carrots in a puree made with butter and chicken stock that was excellent. Served with a cruncy leaf salad, beautifully dressed. It was exceptional. For dessert we ate sorbet, with chantilly cream and warmed peaches. Refreshing and moreish. A perfect end to the meal. The service was light of touch but still attentive and knowledgable and the ambiance was enjoyable and warm. Everyone was having a good time. Congratulations on an excellent restaurant and friendly staff.
