Great atmosphere and lovely restaurant with beautiful interior and earthy decorations. The food was the only good thing about the place. We were a big group of six for my sister’s engagement celebration and also birthday celebration — Our waitress was kind at first and explained everything as best as she could as we arrived early (me, my sister & her fiancée). When everyone else arrived and got seated— we tried to order the dishes we wanted and were then told we couldn’t, because they have a specific system that goes to it. So you either have to share, or you don’t. We ended up sharing. I don’t mind the different systems and all, but the tone we were given when trying to explain, such as interrupting when we spoke or simply speaking to us as if we were children. Our assigned waitress was incredibly disrespectful. She was also taking every opportunity to flirt with my sister’s fiancée just because they did not sit next to eachother. Infront of all of us. It does not matter if she believed she might of been his sister or a friend, you do not flirt with a GUEST infront of everybody else. We then all decided on some dessert— and don’t get me wrong, the dessert was good, but it would of been better if served earlier than 20 minutes. Our booth table was right infront of the open kitchen, and during the entire time we watched our finished desserts wait out on the counter without a single waiter to go get it for us. Instead, our waitress walks up to us to let us know in a rude tone that our time for sitting at the table is up. Basically rushing us— basically kicking us out. Keep in mind, we are a group of six people, eating all of the courses given (appetizer, main, dessert, and also taking drinks), and ontop of that they had divided everything in to different levels of food such as heavy foods, medium, light and so on, and we were also sharing everything. I myself work in hospitality and have been a waitress at various restaurants all with different rules— but not ONE of them have I gone to told a guest that their time is up. That is incredibly disrespectful. I understand they might of had bookings or a full restaurant, but you cannot expect a big group of six that is booked for all courses to possibly finish eating within given timeframe— assuming we will eat at the same pace as the table of two next to us. The limits are only there in order to place bookings accordingly, but if we sit past that timeframe then it is expected that they solve it, as there is usually time between tables incase of such things happening. We were six people, eating all courses including drinks, celebrating and we chose YOUR restaurant to do so. Instead we are met with this horrible experience. And I don’t have a clear memory of the waitress— but I believe her name was Maria. Something with an M, atleast. But I could be wrong. Dark hair and glasses. I only remember that because at the end after paying, she gave a card to my sister’s fiancée with her name and a heart next to it to write a review. Well, here is your review. I only hope other waitresses/waiters are kinder and more respectful, and I’m disappointed that our experience was so horrible given the other great reviews I’ve seen. None of us will be going back.
