Det är inte ofta jag och min fru går ut, men när vi går ut går vi ut till något speciellt, det är inte lönt att gå ut och äta sådant vi lagar hemma. Här är bra ur vårt perspektiv. Beställ vinpaket till maten för det skickar smakerna en bit till i känslan, och helheten är på plats. Vi ville fira våran 15 års dag av kärlek! Här blev det perfekt 🌸🌸✨✨🍀🍀🍾🥂💖💖

Food is 4.5 to me if Google has that option. Atmosphere is really good. Love the interior design and the presentation of the menu, dinnerware and food. One thing to improve is the way to handle shellfish allergy. Service…well… there are two unforgettable minus moments. 1. Guests were forced to wait outside. We booked table for 7.30, and we arrived exactly at 7.30. Even so, we were asked to stand outside, until the waitress called us. Eventually it took them another 15 minutes to get ready and let us in. Thanks god it wasn’t cold or windy that day. Otherwise I would probably catch a cold. Couldn’t there be a better solution to not let your punctual guests to wait outside miserably? 2. Is it really a proper Japanese way to serve the sake the full glass? We ordered sake, and the serving was presented in a very nice way with small glass and a small bottle. The first waitress who served the sake only poured 1/3 of the small glass. Everything went well until the second waitress came in and started to refill my glass until it was full. I didn’t ask for that, and I really really don’t get why she did that. So….i see potentials, but I also see a lot potentials to improve

I loved the subtle nostalgia of Japanese flavors through ingredients combined with the chef’s unique personal touch. The food has that beautiful umami simplicity, yet you can feel how much thought and technique goes into balancing every ingredient, texture, and flavor. If you want to experience real Japanese sushi and its craftsmanship, I highly recommend Umenoya. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Exceptional food, service, and atmosphere. This isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Chef Takao-san and his team are outstanding, and Umenoya is easily one of the best Japanese restaurants in Scandinavia. Seating is limited, so be sure to book ahead. Highly recommended, I hope Umenoya sticks around for a long time!
