We stayed at The Friendly Moose as a family and can really recommend it.
My wife, her mother, her boyfriend, and her grandmother were with us.
My wife's grandmother is in a wheelchair, weighs about 95 kg, and has limited mobility due to her advanced age and weight. That's why it was particularly important for us to find accommodation that was equipped for this and could offer appropriate support.
That's exactly what we found here. Paul went to incredible lengths to make our stay special. He planned a week for us in advance and organized all the activities so that everyone could participate. We were particularly impressed that my wife's grandmother was able to join in all the activities.
We experienced so much during the week: sledding, husky sledding, a reindeer sleigh ride, cozy moments by the fire in the forest, and beautiful walks in nature. Paul was always there to help, including with transfers, to ensure that everything was safe and relaxed.
The accommodation itself is clean, very well equipped, and you immediately feel welcome.
We would particularly like to highlight the exceptional service. Paul is incredibly friendly, helpful, and very experienced.
It was an unforgettable week for us as a family and an experience that we will remember for a long time.

Meine Mama und meine Oma. Inklusive Partner jeweils.
Meine Oma sitzt im Rollstuhl. Sie wiegt ziemlich viel 95+kg und ist selber aufgrund des hohen Alters nur wenig mobil.
Die Unterkunft bietet alle Unterstützung die man sich wünschen kann. Vom Bett übers Bad Bus hin zum Auto.
Paul ist super lieb und sehr erfahren. Er hat im voraus eine Woche für uns geplant und alle Ausflüge so ausgerichtet, dass meine Oma alles mitmachen konnte. Er hat auch selber immer wieder bei allen umsetzaktionen geholfen. So war es uns möglich zu rodeln, husy Schlitten zu fahren, Rentierschlitten zu fahren, im Wald am Feuer zu sitzen und viele Spaziergänge in der natuzzu machen.
Ich kann die ganze Erfahrung nur von ganzem Herzen empfehlen!

Paul und Maria bitte verzeiht, dass ich deutsch schreibe. Mir ist es aber wichtig genau auszudrücken wie toll es bei euch war.
Die beiden sind Menschen die man nicht mehr so oft erleben kann. Mit Leidenschaft und Herz und extrem liebevoll kümmern Sie sich um Ihre Gäste. Sie haben wirklich alles möglich gemacht, was wir uns vorgestellt haben und sogar noch besser. Wir haben einen sehr sehr aktiven Sohn und die beiden haben sich nicht nur um meinen Mann im Rollstuhl gekümmert, sondern mir auch mit meinem Sohn geholfen. Ich hatte einen extrem tollen entspannten Urlaub dadurch. Mein Mann und Sohn ebenfalls. Liebevoll hat sich Paul etwas ausgedacht um meinen Sohn eine Rampe zu bauen, damit er im Schnee spielen kann. So oft haben die beiden zu uns gesagt, bleibt sitzen trinkt oder esst fertig wir passen auf. Sie haben meinen Mann in den Schlitten getragen und alles möglich gemacht. Jeden Tag haben Sie gefragt ob alles ok sei und ob wir Hilfe brauchen. Paul hat meinen Mann geschoben damit wir spazieren konnten, er hat unsere Koffer getragen, die Einkaufstaschen etc. Maria hat ihm geholfen und mit unserem Sohn gespielt, damit wir Ruhe haben. Die Landschaft war wunderschön und man konnte aus dem Bett heraus die Polarlichter beobachten und Paul hat immer Bescheid gegeben wenn man sie nicht bemerkte. Die beiden haben die Natur erklärt, Lagerfeuer gemacht und extrem tolle Laune versprüht. Dieser Urlaub war ein Erlebnis was wir so zuvor nicht hatten. Wir hoffen nochmal wieder kommen zu können. Wir vermissen den Schnee, diese unglaubliche Ruhe und Landschaft. Paul und Maria waren auch die Ruhe in Person. Zusammengefasst war es ein perfekter Urlaub, in dem auch ich entspannen konnte. Einzig man muss englisch verstehen und sprechen, aber das schafft man. Die beiden verstehen einen wie auch immer man spricht und zur Not google translate.

My partner booked us in to stay with Paul and Maria for five days as a surprise for my birthday. We stayed for five days and we had the most amazing time. They were so warm and welcoming. I am in a wheelchair and we did things that I never thought I'd be able to do, and it wouldn't have been possible without Paul and his 'anything is possible' attitude.
It was a trip of a lifetime and I have left with memories I will cherish for the rest of my life.

Wat een geweldige ervaring!! Paul en Maria zijn zo gastvrij! Ze doen er alles aan om je met rolstoel met alles mee te laten doen. Overal wordt aan gedacht. Met tussendoor veel humor en gezelligheid! Nära och bra boende, har allt man behöver vid vistelsen, nära till affärer och trevlig värdinna. Lite smådyrt dock med sån gammal standard och lite slitet i allmänhet. Men lugnt och tyst på nätterna, sov som en stock.

This trip would not have been at all possible for me, at 86, had it not been for Paul willing transporting me in a wheelchair in his specially fitted van. It has to be one of the best trips I have ever undertaken. My sincere thanks to Paul + Maria for the wonderful activities they organised for us. Who knew I could do dog and reindeer sledding on a frozen river at my age!! Meeting and spending time with both locals and expats across Scandinavia made our trip so much more enjoyable and memorable.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Paul and Maria have the most beautiful energy and are committed to making this a holiday of a lifetime.
We travelled with a friend in their 80’s who is wheel chair bound. She had the most incredible sense of adventure and Paul and Maria made those dreams come true.
So many incredible activities out and about to watching the northern lights from the wood fired hot tub. Just magical.

We stayed a week at The Friendly Moose with Paul + Maria. Our trip was exceptional. There is so much care, thought and planning to ensure we all had a great time. Wheelchair assistance is a full-service end to end. My elderly, 86 year old Mum, was supported with transport in a wheelchair via a specialised bus, our room was fully fitted with wheelchair features in bathroom, bedroom etc. My Mum participated in all activities from dog and reindeer sledding to riding in the pulka behind snow mobile to intimate dinners by an open fire or in a remote Sami enclave.
For those who are carers know how challenging it is to take your loved one or client on holiday. Paul + Maria ensure everyone, regardless of mobility level, have a great time and are included in everything.
A week of making memories. The laughter and smiles on my Mum’s face says it all.
