Disclaimer: Not a member and my experience with this congregation is 10+ years old. This is a welcoming LDS congregation. The theology is restoration christianity with a highly American tilt based on its origins in 1830s Jeffersonian America (rural upstate New York). The movement has abandonded polygamy and is considered fairly mainstream in the US with the exception of their Godhead doctrines, health code (no coffee, smoking, or alcohol), and emphasis on heteronormitive families (trans essentially doesn't exist to the leadership and is shunned, you can be gay - just don't talk about it and definately don't act gay). For Sweden, this is one of the more active and educated congregations. It has a lot more youth and vitality generally than the neighboring Malmö ward. In general it appears that the LDS church (and religion more generally) is in decline in Sweden, but with the help of missionaries (often from the US), the congregations are still reasonably active. They do a mean Valbörgsafton party (alcohol free - not the same as free alcohol) and a good christmas service with quality singing. Looking through the 5 star comments (and some of the one star ones) I see familiar names from the congregation including (evidently) the daughter of the former Bishop (priest/pastor) of the congregation who has left the church. Most of the 5 star reviews are from members. At least some of the one star reviews are from former members who feel lied to and cheated (which is a fair response). The doctrines are a bit strange and the beliefs in the supernatural unjustified at times, but in spite of it all most of the members are people who are just trying really hard to be good and helpful. You could do much worse if you're looking for a church. I suspect that many members of this congregation are more loving and accepting of LGBT individuals than the mainstream doctrines coming from the US would suggest.
