After less than 3 years of using the system, a side panel gave in, which brought the entire system to fall and damaged 4 side panels and 13 out of 15 shelves. The whole system fell — and almost on my partner. After one month of back and forth with String Furniture, and after initially insisting on the expiration of the 2 years guarantee, we got their confirmation to help us exceptionally out with a replacement. But 5 days later, they withdrew that with the following argument: “…Even so it is a miracle that the system didn’t fall sooner, considering it was packed with books…” So, if you’re looking for a nicely designed short-term object in your flat without using it with books or other daily items, you might be happy. If you’re looking for something that you’ll enjoy for a long time and really use for objects of your choice, we’d recommend looking for another brand — considering String Furniture considers it a miracle that their own product lasted 3 years.

The design of the String Furniture has that nice vintage feeling. The cabinets are made of laminated particle board. The build quality is low with very thin veneers. I expected something better for the premium price they charge.
