We arrived and were warmly welcomed and treated with great politeness. The praise and worship are exceptional, the worship leader's voice is impressive, and the joy of the church during worship is wonderful. Translation services, ear protectors, and coffee are available at the entrance.
Unfortunately, right before the speaking time began, we had a "session" of jokes about race, politics, and sexism, Even so, I waited patiently for the Bible reading and the Word to begin,Unfortunately, we read a verse and then began a "session" of personal stories about the person's life with the microphone.
It was a very frustrating experience.
If you're looking for a church based on Bible reading and biblical teaching, I don't think this is the place for you.
But the worship is great.
So blessed to call SOS Church my home 🥹 I like to describe it as living room church in the center of Stockholm - it is warm, welcoming and very quickly when I first moved to Stockholm became my second family. It is very multicultural with a lot of youth, young adults and families. But I would say what distinguishes SOS church the most is the passion for Christ, love for God’s Word, and vision to live out the book of Acts. If you want to be challenged in your faith, while also being welcomed exactly as you are - then this is the place for you as it was for me. 🙌
