I don’t speak Swedish, so I used AI to help me understand your review. If I understood it correctly: The portion was too small… but you couldn’t finish it and needed a doggy bag? The food was “smaklöst” (tasteless)… but it was still good enough to take home? Well, that’s certainly an interesting combination. 😊 Thank you for your feedback. We completely respect that everyone has different tastes and expectations. However, we would like to clarify one thing about the takeaway charge. The takeaway box costs us 6 SEK to purchase, and the paper bag costs 2 SEK. We charge 10 SEK for an additional takeaway box when a guest requests one after dining in. We believe this is a reasonable charge for packaging that is not included in the price of the meal. As for our food and portions, we are happy to accept that they may not have been to your taste. But we have kept our portions consistent and continue to make our noodles and wontons by hand. Thank you for giving us a try.

Hej. Thank you for visiting us. I’m sorry that our food did not meet your expectations, and I completely respect that our flavours may not be to everyone’s taste. I would, however, like to clarify one point for anyone reading this review: we are NOT a Sichuan restaurant. We have never presented ourselves as one. Our Chinese name, “胡同” (Hutong), reflects not only our location in a small alley, but also my background as someone from Beijing. Beijing has always been a very open and diverse city, with food traditions from all over China coming together. That spirit is reflected in our menu. We serve Chinese street food and everyday dishes from different regions — Sichuan Dandan noodles, Cantonese wontons, Beijing Zhajiang noodles, Shaanxi Saozi noodles, and more. Sichuan cuisine is therefore only one part of what we offer. If you came expecting a traditional Sichuan restaurant, I can understand why our food may have been different from what you expected. I’m sorry that this led to disappointment, but I hope this clarifies what our restaurant is about. Thank you for giving us a try. Maggie Sibiriens Sinokök
