240213 open letter to Shimano Company regarding quality of Shimano CN-HG-40 6-7-8 Speed Chain Between 1975 and 1984 I lived in Romania and had a (Soviet) Russian bicycle called Ukraina 1-speed. I never had problems with it, just greased it every year during winter. Since 2014, living in Sweden, I use a Crescent 7-speed bicycle with Shimano CN-HG-40 6-7-8 Speed Chain. Every other year I had to repair (tense/shorten) the chain, otherwise it would have been impossible to cycle. Shimano is a Japanese company. We are all aquainted that Japanese quality is famous anywhere in the world, with any kind of products, from Toyota to Nikon and Sony. Just wonder what Shimano company has to comment about the quality of their product Shimano CN-HG-40 6-7-8 Speed Chain ? With respect, Zeno Sloim Linköping Sweden
