My experience with this organization was beyond unacceptable. The Thai manager, who also serves as the Head of Training, created a toxic and hostile environment for students. His disrespectful and racist behavior was deeply troubling, and his constant threats caused significant distress among students, with some even experiencing panic attacks due to the hostile atmosphere. In addition to the poor management, the safety standards are alarming. The airplanes are not maintained properly, and there is a complete disregard for student safety. This lack of oversight makes it clear that the organization prioritizes profits over the well-being of its students. The company that owns this school is equally irresponsible. They seem completely unaware of the severe issues happening within the institution. To make matters worse, the school operates under two names—Stoflight and Scandinavia Airspeed Academy—which appears to be a deliberate attempt to mislead potential customers. This deceptive practice only adds to the lack of trustworthiness of this organization. I strongly caution anyone considering this institution to look elsewhere. Safety, respect, and transparency are crucial in aviation training, and this school fails miserably in all areas.

Beware! Owners took around 30,000 Euros of my unconsumed fees: This school is all over the place, seems to have an experienced leadership team, but experienced ones are unfortunately stationed in Norway (handling another helicopter business) & have minimal influence on training in Sweden which is run by mainly one person, he is head of training, deputy head of training, chief flight instructor, Single Engine Piston Flight Instructor, Multi Engine Piston Flight Instructor, PPL ground instructor, newcomer intake coordinator & is clearly overwhelmed. This results in quality of training being diluted. You’d feel welcomed during initial phases but after making significant payments, staff would be often busy as he is more focused on making new students have a good experience, otherwise they would not continue paying subsequent payments. Also, the school has few aircraft & these go into maintenance from time to time & so the school is mostly operating on one PA28 & one DA42, hence, significant delays in training. This puts students at a disadvantage as accommodation/expenses are paid by students. The preliminary schedule given keeps lengthening as time goes due to almost certain delays piling up. Flight schedule often has a lot of cancellations & it seems as though because that one person is overwhelmed, he is incentivised to cancel more of the flights giving the smallest of safety reasons for it. With this school, expect to fly 2 times a week for most weeks. Some weeks you won’t even fly at all. For any delay, this person often gives the reason that it is delay due to the student’s delayed theory completion or some other mistake committed by the student even though most know that delays are mostly due to few instructors and aircraft. Sometimes, the only staff goes off and there’s no one in school and it is ‘dead’. Ground School students have to do their ATPL theory own time own target & a good number have not been able to complete all subjects within the limited time period, having to redo the entire theory again. Students are left alone to book exams whenever they feel ready, & this goes on delaying without a fixed structure where all students sit for a certain subject on a certain date. There is another staff, safety manager, and he too is maybe in school once every week. Hence, the school has a culture of laziness & it is extremely sloppy. 3hr ground lessons are often cut short to 1.5hr, so a full day of 6hr lesson becomes just 3hr, easy for both teachers & students, but is this the best for students’ learning? Also, no proper training contract given to most students & so terms are not made clear. Payments are collected according to a payment plan & if your training is delayed, you end up paying most upfront. When it delays too long & you want to leave, management hold onto your money & start asking you for proof of payment & bank statements. When you make payment, no receipt is given. Very unprofessional from a school. The school has all sorts of problems but yet no one seems to care much to fix these issues. The ones here are either old students from previous owners or new students lured in by the low price. Price is low for a reason because they would have no students otherwise. By doing the package & making payments, you can’t leave even if you want to. They would hold on to your money & swindle it by charging you for any expense they can fault you for to try and deduct your unconsumed fees with them. One thing’s for sure, ill-gotten gains will not get this school very far. Owners are greedily waiting to get hold of your money & will not refund it to prevent students from leaving the school for other better schools! Other places in Sweden, Night rating can be done in as little as a week, but for this school it may take 4 months. Only 2 single engine piston aircraft, which half the time are in maintenance, other times, weather may not permit, no fuel card, instructor unavailable, etc. All other reviews, exercise caution when reading as they may not even be from current students of the school located in Sweden.
