A brilliant hotel! Rooms are lovely (attached image is the view from room 745) and the location is brilliant. A five minute walk to Old Town and loads of shops/restaurants nearby. Staff are all excellent and the rooftop bar/restaurant is really lovely. Great breakfast. If we’re ever back in Stockholm, we’ll be staying here!

!!BEWARE OF PREDATORY TAXIS OUTSIDE HOTEL!! Not sure if the Scandic management is aware of this or able to address it, but the cab waiting outside the hotel that took us to the airport used incredibly predatory pricing tactics to make what should have been fare of about €90 a charge of €250. That aside, the hotel facilities were clean, our room was spacious with a nice view of Central Station. Breakfast was reasonably priced for the quality of the offerings and easy to enjoy each morning. I was a little disappointed that the only option for dining at the hotel after breakfast was the rooftop bar. It seems The Market restaurant seems as though it could be put to some use later in the day. Unfortunately, one of our breakfasts concluded with a very hurried invitation to leave by a bus person only 3 minutes after breakfast had closed and we still had food on our plate. If the price were right, I’d probably stay here again as we enjoyed the space and comforts in our room.

A 4-star hotel with 4-star pricing, but 2-star amenities. The rooms are small; it is inconceivable that there is no minibar. There are no disposable slippers, and there are no complimentary toiletries in the bathroom either.
