I highly discourage anyone, especially people with wavy or curly hair, from visiting this salon. The hairdresser was incredibly nice, polite, and communicative, making the atmosphere pleasant, but unfortunately, he completely lacks the training required for textured hair. Unfortunately, there was also a visible language barrier in English, which led to a complete misunderstanding of what I wanted. I explained and showed him that I wanted my bangs to blend smoothly and get progressively longer into the sides of my hair. Instead, he didn't wash my hair, did not layer it at all, used absolutely zero styling products, and just cut the bangs in a round shape while chopping the side layers horizontally. I told him at the beginning of the visit that my hair is keratin-curled. He misdiagnosed my healthy hair as "damaged" simply because he brushed out my curls while they were bone dry with a fine-tooth comb. He was very rough while doing this - he repeatedly pulled my hair painfully and even scratched my cheeks with the comb several times. He then proceeded to blow-dry and straighten my hair with a round brush without consulting with me first, leaving me looking like Lord Farquaad. On top of that, while spraying my hair with water, he literally soaked half of my face, leaving water dripping down my cheeks. When pinning my bangs, he kept dropping hair all over my eyes, causing discomfort. After finishing the haircut, he didn't even bother to brush the loose hairs off my face with a brush, leaving me covered in itchy trimmings. I wasn't even offered a glass of water during the entire visit. Thankfully, after washing my hair at home, my curls bounced back and look healthy - proving the stylist had no idea how to work with this hair texture.
