I have been a loyal Rebtel customer since 2012, but my recent experience has been incredibly disappointing. After switching to a new phone while traveling in Vietnam, I was completely locked out of my account. When I contacted support, I was told that because of "fraudulent attacks," sign-ups and logins from Vietnam are entirely blocked.
Instead of protecting legitimate users with multi-factor authentication, Rebtel has chosen to ban an entire country. The support representative’s response felt incredibly condescending and dismissive of everyone living in or visiting Vietnam.

I’ve been using this company regularly and on the whole the service works well. Recently my subscription has ceased early even though the automated message is informing me that I have 12 hours remaining - frustrating

I had a very frustrating experience with Rebtel.
I was in Thailand and downloaded the app, where I received a one week free international calling offer. I also topped up my account with credits. I then made international calls through the Rebtel app, expecting the calls to be handled through Rebtel.
However, I later discovered that my Swedish mobile provider had charged me more than €100 for those calls.
I contacted Rebtel support, but they told me they could not help because the charges came from my local SIM provider. This is extremely disappointing. I was connected to Wi-Fi at the time, and I was using the Rebtel app to make the calls.
What made the situation especially confusing was that the Rebtel app showed that I had 500 minutes remaining before making the calls. After the calls, the number of remaining minutes decreased, which gave me the impression that the calls had been processed through Rebtel as intended.
If using Rebtel can result in unexpected charges from your local mobile provider, I believe this should be made much clearer to customers before they make a call. Otherwise, it defeats the purpose of using a calling service like Rebtel.
I recommend being very careful and checking with your mobile provider about potential international calling charges before using the service, especially when traveling.

Rebtel offers multiple call setup types—including Phone Lines (local access numbers), Wi-Fi/Data, and Mobile Data. If the app remains on "Phone Lines" while traveling, your home provider can charge roaming fees for dialing out, even if you are connected to Wi-Fi. Do not sign up . They will drain your Bank Account. Last time I have used their service back in 2024 . Today they took 36.00 from my visa card which was connected to my bank account. I try to contact them but its very hard to reach them . There should be a law to protect from this scamer. Be careful.

RISK/FRAUD/AVOID this company.Rebtel deducted 14.00 without my permission on 22/06/2026 and now passed coment that we don’t do this fraud. What a joke. Please never take any risk and never use this service to keep yourself safe from any fraud or unexpected withdrawals.

They deduct money from my bank card. When i asked for refund, they want to collect more information to draw more money. It’s scam.

Offers an unlimited free trail. Tried to make a call and states you have not credits. Reached out to support and they claimed it was due to the received telephone system.
Tried to cancel account. They contact by email saying they couldn’t cancel as they didn’t have my email address. I replied to “their” email to my email saying you have my email and you emailed me. My email was also wrote in the chat history from support. They still insisted they don’t have my email address.
Awful service and support.
Wish I checked google reviews first as it seems they get lots of low star reviews.

This international calling system is amazing! Rebtel is an outstanding international calling service. I use it daily to call Pakistan, and sometimes Oman, and it always works perfectly. Even when I travel to Pakistan, I can use Rebtel to call back to Switzerland without any issues. The call quality is consistently clear, and the connection is always stable. I really appreciate that it works without internet and connects instantly. Highly recommended for anyone who calls abroad regularly. You can’t rely on WiFi calling apps when traveling, but Rebtel works everywhere!
My only request: if Possible, please bring back the Unlimited Pakistan Plan, also add like Unlimited 90/180 days.
