Great place away from home. If you want to relax mentally specially physically, this is the place to stay. A good place to see the sunset.

Rented for 2 days summer 2025 f Very expensive!!!! The island is great but the house are a bit shaggy and there where lots and lots of big spiders indoors. Water in shower where poor. The beach is not like in the pictures. The boats oarlocks where broken so rowing back and forth was very hard. They had tried to fixed it with silver teip! Very hot in house and no mosqito net for the Windows, so we couldnt open the windows. Lika a sauna at night time. Extra cost for everything. 14000 kr for 2 nights and no linnen included. The owners should lower the price or renovate the house. Edit HELLO FREDRIK HAREN My rewiev is based on our stay. Sorry to see that you get so offended. Your house didn't live up to our expectansions from your description of the house just as simple as that.

Hello Veronica Adolphsson, Thank you for your feedback. Your stay took place July 26–28, 2025, so we were a bit surprised to see these concerns raised several months later. During your stay, you also sent us a message about drinking water and mentioned how you were really enjoying the island, with no issues raised at the time. We always encourage guests to let us know immediately if anything needs attention. Regarding the linen, we had a prior agreement: because your group included an additional adult beyond the original reservation, we waived the extra fee if your group brought your own linens. This arrangement was confirmed in writing before your stay. For context, we normally provide linens to all our guests. Last year, your group was the only one for whom we agreed to waive linens in exchange for a discounted fee, as part of our prior arrangement. Because this arrangement was mutually agreed in writing before arrival, we were surprised to see it later described as if linen had not been provided as part of the stay. Your booking was for 6 adults and 2 children, totaling SEK 12,825 (including platform fees), giving your family exclusive access to the private island and its amenities near central Stockholm. Our island is in the natural Stockholm archipelago. While we thoroughly clean before every arrival, occasional spiders can appear, as is common in countryside and island homes. As with many summer houses in Sweden, guests typically cool the house in the evenings by opening windows when temperatures drop. Regarding the rowing boat, we record its condition (photos included) before and after each stay. After your visit, it required repairs, which we handled as part of regular maintenance. Staying on a private island is naturally a more rustic and nature-focused experience than a hotel stay, which many returning guests appreciate. We maintain careful records and open communication to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay. We always encourage reviewing the listing and photos so expectations match the unique experience of staying on a private island in nature. Many of our visitors truly value the peaceful setting, swimming areas, and the simple archipelago lifestyle the island offers.
We spent a couple of days with our family in the island. It was a great experience, even if the weather was not great. Also, Elaine and Fredrik, the owners, took a lot of care about our stay. Totally recommended. Thanks!!

One of the most unique and memorable experiences for us! Thanks to Fredrik, Elaine, and Shehara, we were able to stay on Ideas Island for a full week to work on our documentary. We could not have asked for a more peaceful and inspiring experience and will forever be grateful for having this week of creation outside the hustle and bustle of city living. I would highly recommend that anyone who is able books themselves at least a few days here to enjoy the nature and bliss.

I had a really fabulous stay at Idea Island, painting, reading and relaxing. Even though it is really close to Stockholm it is so far away from the stress, noice and congestion. As the stress level drops, you can really enjoy the peace. With nature so close, with birds as your closest neighbours, and with water wherever you look, you can allow yourself to be creative.

Lors de l'été 2020, j'ai eu la chance de passer une semaine avec 4 amies sur ce petit coin de paradis. Un séjour inoubliable, hors du temps. L'île est incroyable, idéale pour se détendre ou pour laisser libre cours à sa créativité. J'ai terminé l'écriture de mon deuxième livre là-bas, et ce n'est pas un hasard. Tout est fait pour prendre le temps. La nature, omniprésente, invite à la contemplation et à la détente. Pas de stress, pas de contraintes. L'île est équipée de tout ce qu'il faut. Le bateau permet de rejoindre le continent ou de se voguer pour voir les autres îles. J'ai adoré ce moyen de transport qui, une fois de plus, demande de prendre son temps et de savourer la nature. Cela fait partie de mes meilleurs souvenirs de voyage et j'espère y retourner un jour !

The experience of a lifetime! You can't help but feel like a whole new person upon arrival. With the fresh water all around, the clean air in your lungs, and the quietness throughout the day and night, this island gave me the peace of mind and the rejuvenation I needed. The cabin itself is very well kept. It's like a home away from home. 5-stars. I highly recommend this island and will definitely be sharing about it to my friends.
