The Port of Trelleborg (Trelleborgs Hamn) is the largest RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) and ferry port in Scandinavia. Located at the southernmost tip of Sweden, it serves as a crucial logistical gateway connecting Scandinavia directly to Central Europe. Key Highlights Major Routes & Destinations: The port operates frequent, direct ferry connections to key European hubs, primarily: Germany: Rostock and Travemünde Poland: Świnoujście Key Operators: Major shipping lines like Stena Line, TT-Line, and Unity Line run daily passenger and freight services out of the terminal. Economic & Freight Hub: It handles a massive volume of the total Swedish import and export goods, managing over 10% of Sweden's foreign trade. This includes trucks, trailers, and direct rail-ferry traffic. Sustainability & Expansion: The port has recently undergone a massive relocation and modernization project, moving its operations further out into the sea. This expansion allowed it to accommodate larger, more eco-friendly vessels while reducing heavy traffic and emissions within the central town of Trelleborg.
