This stay was 10/10. From the moment you step into the winter garden and are greeted by one of the staff in traditional linen dresses, to sitting in the lounge listening to the eternal flow of Swedish hits from the design speakers…while eating cherries (with garlic!) and curated meat…to enjoying the never ending flow of honest courses for dinner. Honest in the context of recognizing everything from the seafood, the bread, the salads and the meat. But don’t underestimate it even if you see what it is...because this is perfected in ways that will blow you away. A slice of toast that tastes of brown butter and smoke, combines perfectly with the cherry(!) infused mayonnaise and it all melts together with the crayfish…it is just the starter. It is by itself so good I could have left it there and still be totally happy. But it just keeps on coming. But what ties it all together is the staff. There is something special about places where you sense that the staff is both enjoying themselves and are proud of the work, the product, the concept and the place itself. At Furuhem the staff behave like being there, dressed as they are, is the most natural thing. And the tone between them all must be very good, as both their way of welcoming you, telling about the food, the place, the wine and everything is upbeat and joyful. Laughs and jokes glide naturally into the relationship with the guests, while always behaving professional and polite. Who should visit? Probably a lot of different people in different situations will love a stay here. But for us, a married couple with three kids who wanted a date and a night away just the two of us, we couldn’t have found a better place. …even is Swedish Bäska Droppar is by far the worst schnapps I have ever tasted. You’ll understand if you ever visit Furuhem.

Een warme en huiselijke locatie met top service. Op 3 minuten van de zee loop je naar de deur met het idee dat je binnenloopt via de achterdeur bij vrienden. Het houtvuur knispert en de sfeervolle verlichting brandt. Alles straalt rust uit. Iedereen die er werkt probeert het naar je zin te maken. De kamers prachtig; een sauna waar de houtgeur je in een bos laat zijn. Het eten is geweldig; na 24uur verlaten we met veel voldoening deze prachtige locatie met mooie mensen. Het was een feest!

Just had a wonderful lunch at Furuhem. Very special and creative fish meal for a competitive price. And great atmospehre with open fireplace and friendly service.

WOW !!

Vi slank in för att få med oss något gott till stranden. Valde utsökta surdegsfrallor med ost, skinka, skånsk senap och sommargrönt . Wow !! Så in i bänken gott ! Varje beståndsdel i den frallan var utvalt för att var för sig och tillsammans smaka utsökt ! Så enkelt och så gott !! Kaffet till var perfekt och avrundningen, ett litet kolabröd…. Åhh , jag är fortfarande lite i chock hur gott detta smakade i denna stund vid havet. Det som är så bra är att vi kan återkomma snart igen 😊🙏🏽

Glutenfritt

Varför i hela friden kan ni inte ha något glutenfritt bröd att servera till lunchen. Ni skyller på att ni inte hittat något mjöl. Samma bortförklaring när vi var där i våras för en lunch. Något kan ni väl fixa, det behövs inte så mycket t ex en lite bit fröknäcke hade varit gott till soppan. Bättring hörni.
