Parkbron, suspended pedestrian bridge spans 30m over the Skellefte River and connects to the tranquil island of Kyrkholmen. On Kyrkholmen you can find a charming café located in an old wooden house, open only during the summer months. There is also a small church that occasionally opens for services and cultural events. The island itself is a peaceful oasis, surrounded by the calm flow of the river, offering a beautiful view in every direction. In the summer of 2025, Parkbron underwent a full renovation, including repairs to the bridge structure. Walking across the small footbridge to Kyrkholmen is a special experience. It feels like stepping into a quiet, green escape in the heart of the city—perfect for a summer coffee, a short stroll, or simply enjoying the view of the river.
