This is a rezension for people who wants to volunteer here: First of all, the farm itself is a really nice place for tourists to stay. There is a great programme with activities such as trail rides, and the animals seem to have a good life there. For volunteers, however, our experience was quite different. If you are an experienced rider, there may be opportunities to learn new things, such as working with foals, hoof care and other horse-related tasks. The Instagram account also gives a very appealing impression, especially if you love horses. However, our experience at the farm was quite different from what we had expected. We experienced the atmosphere as rather strict and, at times, unfriendly. We did not feel particularly welcomed or comfortable during our stay. There is a fixed schedule, which we received the evening before. During working hours, there was not much flexibility. For example, we were told that we should not spend more than around five minutes cuddling a horse. We were also regularly encouraged to work faster and take on more tasks. Our working days were usually from around 8 a.m. until 6 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. This meant that there was very little free time during the day. We had one day off per week. For us, the amount of work and the structure of the days felt quite different from what we had expected from a volunteering experience. At times, it felt more like having a regular job than volunteering. We went there together, and one of us had already experienced volunteering at a farm several times before. Those experiences were very different. At the other farms, we felt there was a good balance between the work we contributed and the experience we received in return. At this farm, we personally did not feel that the balance was right for us. We originally planned to stay for six weeks, but after one week we decided to leave. I would therefore recommend thinking carefully about what you are looking for in a volunteering experience and what your expectations are before coming here. Luckily, after leaving, we found another farm in Sweden where we had a really wonderful experience.

I had a great trip at the little farm! I booked the multiday trailride in September and one extra night in the B&B and had the best time! The horses are treated extremely well, they look happy and healthy. Everything - from the gear, to meals, to trail routes - is well organized. The sleeping bags, sheets and accomodations were very clean. Marcia gave detailed and clear instructions concerning the handling of the horses, setting up the camp etc., which I really liked because it made everything run smoothly. I also appreciated that Marcia and Julia were always inspiring us to live in the moment and leave the phone at the farm or inside the pocket. Also the discussions, sense of humor and philosophicating while sitting around the bonfire were amazing! We also got the opportunity to swim with the horses in the river, which was another highlight. On the Wildlife Safari, Dimitri showed us the local forest, we saw two mooses and a baby squirrel. Three volunteers supported the work around everything. I enjoyed every second of my stay and am leaving with a warm heart full of memories and new friends I met on the ride! See you next time 😍

We had a wonderful time at the farm! We arrived with our rooftop tent and were able to spend one night there. We were welcome to use the shower and do our laundry, and we could have used electricity as well. The horses were treated with lots of love and care and all looked very well looked after. We would happily come back again! Unfortunately, it might take a little while to get a response.

Die Erfahrung war einfach wunderbar und die Menschen sind total lieb.😍 Wir haben die 1,5h Tour für Anfänger gemacht. Dabei sitzt jeder jeweils auf seinem eigenen Pferd und ein Profi von der Farm läuft voraus (nicht an der Longe, einfach zur Sicherheit). Wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt und die Tour war wirklich durch einen schönen Pfad in typisch schwedischer Waldlandschaft. Man lernt nebenbei die Basics des Westernreiten. Danach hat man das Gefühl, problemlos alleine einen Ausritt bestreiten zu können. 😁 Gerne wieder!
