We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our wedding. Both in our initial communications and on the day, Cole was personable and professional. He also has a great sense of humour that instantly put us at ease - no small feat considering we both don't usually enjoy being in front of the camera! Cole somehow seemed to be everywhere at once, capturing each moment exactly as it unfolded without ever feeling intrusive. The photos we have received are absolutely stunning - beautiful, genuine and full of emotion - and we will treasure them forever. We truly can't recommend him highly enough!

I cannot say enough good things about our time with Cole.
We wanted to refresh our wedding photos for our 10 year anniversary. When we got in touch with Cole through the Nordica website, he was quick to reply and so helpful with all my questions.
Once we had a plan in place he was great, suggesting vendors and people who could help us make our vision come to light!
On the day of the photoshoot, I was so nervous because I am so awkward in front of a camera and so is my husband... we are not photogenic at all but Cole has this way of making you feel at ease straight away. He is so relaxed and chilled but his passion for photography just shines through when he is working and you can constantly see his creative wheels turning.
For those of you who are awkward like us, he gives you tips on what to do and how to stand so he can get the best photo for you and he is a genius! We absolutely love our photos and how he managed to capture the vision we wanted.
Planning a wedding, even a small one, between the US and Norway is daunting. Yet from the very first email correspondence with Cole at Nordica, we knew we were in good hands. For our wedding, we knew we wanted to leverage the natural beauty of our surroundings as a backdrop for our photos, and all we can say is WOW!
Our wedding last month at Juvet Landscape Hotel was nothing short of magical, and Cole's photographs captured all the big and small magical moments in his distinct storytelling style. From his ability to catch light for portraits at exactly the right place and time, to his instinct in framing the natural surroundings, and his knack for capturing candid moments of intimacy, we feel so fortunate that he was such an important part of the day. Beyond his talents as a photographer, he is easygoing, communicative, and professional leading up to and on the day of the wedding itself. Coming prepared with a few potential portrait locations in mind, he was able to adapt easily with the group, as our day-of timeline had to shift slightly.
Cole quickly delivered a slideshow gallery within a few days of the wedding, and followed up with a full gallery a few weeks later. His reviews are well deserved, and the photos are a gift that we will treasure for years to come.
Working with Cole was surely the best decision we made for our wedding at the Juvet Hotel in Norway. When we saw Nordica's portfolio, we knew he'd be our top choice if he had availability - Cole combines an ability to capture these very spontaneous, intimate human moments with an equal eye for framing amazing, expansive landscapes and natural beauty.
The day before our wedding, Cole did some scouting of off-site locations for portraits. He proposed that we get an early start at 6am the next day to catch the dawn from an incredible hillside spot he'd found overlooking the fjords. We hadn't initially planned on a sunrise start, but wow, we are SO glad we took him up on the idea. All the photos Cole took are exceptional, but our very favorite portraits are from catching dawn on the mountain, with the fjords and snowcapped peaks in every direction (all this to say: if Cole proposes a slight change of plans, take him up on it!!!). It was a really magical experience and a perfect start to the day. But it's also worth saying that Cole did a phenomenal job the rest of the day too - he caught so many moments, large and small, and captured so many of the emotions we and our families felt throughout the day.
Furthermore, Cole was incredibly timely, thoughtful and helpful throughout our communications leading up to our event (and after). During our wedding, he was also a calm presence and helpful sounding board for small tactical issues that arose throughout the day - it helps to have someone around who has been through a wedding or two before!
We hired Nordica for our wedding in my home of Lofoten, Norway and it is one of the best decisions we ever made. We found them through an article in NRK a few years ago and knew we had to reach out. From the very first email they acted truly professional and interested in our story.
Meeting Cole and having him photograph the wedding was such a pleasure. He knew how exactly how to make us comfortable. The results speak for themselves and we are blessed with an everlasting memory of the best day of our lives.

We hired Nordica to photograph our elopement in the Italian Dolomites, and it was the best decision we ever made. In the early planning stages of our trip, Cole was responsive, helpful, and flexible. He suggested many locations that would fit the aesthetic, mood, and climate we had envisioned, and we settled on a couple of key locations.
Our wedding day began early in the morning before sunrise, and lasted all the way through the evening. It was nonstop traveling around some of the most beautiful landscapes we had ever seen, going between those planned locations but stumbling constantly onto hidden gems along the way - such as castles, lakes, and abandoned cabins - where we'd always hop out of the car and grab some quick photos before returning on our way.
Driving from location to location, we would have great conversations in the car as Cole continued to scour the view. You could see the gears in his head spinning as he eyed down the landscape, the trees, the mountains. When something special caught his eye he'd excitedly pull over to the side of the road, grab his camera, and run out of the car saying "Hold on, I'll be right back!" After a few minutes of surveying the site, he'd be back with a "Nah, no good, let's keep going," or a "This place rocks, the trees are perfect, let's go!"
There was not a single moment where he tried to wrap up early, oversell us, or put in less than 110% effort. His passion for photography was palpable, and that energy carried us through the very long and rewarding day that never stopped delivering.
When we received the photos a few weeks later, we were absolutely blown away. The moments throughout our journey were captured so vividly, it was far beyond our expectations. Aside from being an incredibly talented photographer, Cole is just a cool, relaxed guy, and he really made us feel like close friends the entire time we were together.
I can't recommend Nordica enough! You'll get stunning photos and the adventure of a lifetime.
We became aware of Nordica Photography through Instagram and immediately fell in love with the style of the pictures. Jakob accompanied us during our wedding in Sweden and we were very enthusiastic about his manner. It was uncomplicated and very pleasant. When the slideshow came by email after the wedding, we looked at it at least 5 times at the beginning and were totally touched. The pictures in connection with nature and the light perfectly reflected our dreamy day. The spontaneous photos from the situations are also terrific! I can totally recommend Nordica Photography. We came across Nordica Photography and instantly fell in love with their work! We booked them in Spring 2019 for our Fall 2020 wedding. A lot of changes happened in 2020 due to COVID and with so much uncertainty and rules/regulations changing weekly, Cole was so pleasant and accommodating to work with.
