It was an absolute pleasure to be hosted by Francois and Anne at Nordic refuge. The place is very well maintained with nice relaxing rooms, one of the best breakfast and surrounded with plentiful nature. It is also very well located with access to required ameneties and view/hiking spots.

Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und unaufdringlich. Das Frühstück ist der wahre Hammer 🤩 die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und bieten ausreichend Platz für den Aufenthalt. Das Feeling der ehemaligen Schule wurde sehr gut erhalten... 👍😃 Empfehlung für B&B User 👍

Cet été nous avons eu la chance de profiter d’une belle parenthèse au Nordic Refuge, où nous avons séjourné quelques jours. On peut vraiment parler de vacances idéales : un lieu magnifique, un confort qui invite doucement à ralentir et à se poser, et tout ce qu’il faut pour se sentir bien. Tout y est beau… et bon ! Anne et François nous ont généreusement partagé leurs bonnes adresses et leurs conseils pour découvrir la région. Chaque jour nous a réservé de belles découvertes et de merveilleux moments. Un tout grand merci au Nordic Refuge pour cette immersion ressourçante en pleine nature. Un endroit où l’on se sent bien, tout simplement. Allez-y sans hésitation !

Wat een prachtige B&B! Alles is hier perfect op orde: de luxueuze kamers, het gezonde ontbijt met verse producten, de tuin, de omgeving … Bovendien zijn Anne en François bijzonder vriendelijke, gedreven mensen die je graag advies op maat geven over wat er in de buurt te ontdekken valt. Het was een unieke ervaring om hier te verblijven. Bedankt!

A little gem in the area! We were welcomed at this beautiful Bed & Breakfast of 4 (very spacious) rooms by Francois who had prepared everything necessary for a fire cooking experience by the lake, which was incredible. Breakfast is delicious, served in the spacious living room or beautiful terrace. Very convenient location near the lakes and Not Quite.

Really special place. I would sum up by saying everything is simple but really well done, starting from the vegetarian breakfasts with their delicious coffee and bread buns. We went hiking with the benefit of François’s expert tips and it was one of our best hiking experiences - immersed in the Dalsland forests. The only thing to be aware of is that the only eating option nearby is the ‘Not quite’ centre, which was great for lunches and pizza on Friday night but is otherwise closed in the evenings, so be prepared to drive 20 mins or so for dinner, but when the drive is as beautiful as this with miles of forest, you don’t mind!

Das B&B ist wunderschön designt, sehr ruhig und ideal zum Erholen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet. François ist ein herzlicher Gastgeber und kennt die Region bestens. Das vegetarische Frühstück mit lokalen Produkten ist gut, könnte aber etwas abwechslungsreicher sein. Früchte oder Beeren aus der Umgebung hätten wir uns gewünscht. Mit dem öffentlichen Verkehr ist das Hotel gut erreichbar. Ohne Auto ist es jedoch schwierig, abends in der Umgebung essen zu gehen, da vieles geschlossen oder mit dem Bus nicht erreichbar ist. Für Reisende ohne Auto daher nur bedingt zu empfehlen.

Loved everything about our stay 🥰. In a few words we loved: - the sheer size of the house, the garden and the room - the calmness of the neighbourhood - the friendliness of our host - the cleanliness of the room - the healthy breakfast (and the crêpes! ❤️) - the proximity to the lake for taking a dip Thank you for all the tips and the time spent with us, thank you for having been such a great host François!
