I booked in advance because I’d heard it gets absolutely crazy here. When I arrived, though, it was pleasantly quiet. The reservation slots are rather odd: the latest one is at 11:45, after which it’s first come, first served.
If you’re dining alone, you’re seated either at the bar or on the steps, neither of which is quite as relaxed as sitting at one of the regular tables.
I went for the Chef’s Choice. The food was good, and the staff were friendly.
Super trendy spot with a great hook. Enjoyed the meatball sampler and the ciders were great. Went on a weekday afternoon and it was busy so crowding looks like it could be a problem.
I was really excited to try this place after seeing all the hype around it, and overall, it definitely lived up to my expectations! The service was attentive, and the quality of the food was absolutely amazing.
The only slight disappointment was the chef’s choice of four meatballs, which costs a bit more than getting eight pieces of your own choice. I was hoping for something a little more adventurous, with unique meats like moose, bear, or reindeer that are harder to find outside Sweden. Ideally, I would have loved to see at least two of these more unusual options paired with two more familiar choices. Instead, deer was the only one that felt a bit out of the ordinary, while the rest were more everyday meats. But that said, the overall quality was outstanding, and every single meatball was incredibly delicious. It’s a minor point rather than a major complaint, as the food itself was so good that I really can’t fault the experience too much!
Very disappointing tourist trap.
The food is ok, but not worth the price and cramped seating. As a local I wanted to find a new place in the area I would enjoy, but this is not it. I understand why it's always full of tourists thinking this is a Swedish experience but it's not a place I'll be back.
