Hi Laura, thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that we already informed you in our email prior to your visit about the edging options we offer (overlocked edging and binding), and that we need to see the rug in person to provide an accurate assessment. This information is also clearly displayed on our website with prices, colors, and clear images showing exactly how each edging option looks in the final result. When you visited us, we went through all available options, including the modern slimline edging (approximately 1 cm), and explained why the type of edging you requested – a factory finish woven into the rug – cannot be recreated afterward. This type of edging is created during the production process, where the yarn is integrated into the rug’s structure from the beginning. Once a rug is cut after production, this structure is broken, and the edging must instead be secured with overlocking or binding. This is standard across the entire industry and cannot be replicated by any workshop. We would also like to emphasize that our edging options are highly appreciated by our customers. Overlocking (langettering) has been part of our offering for over 40 years and remains the most requested and beloved option. Slimline is our newest and most modern option, particularly popular among customers who prefer a discreet and elegant edging that is barely visible. It is also worth mentioning that we work with premium brands such as Jacaranda, known for producing some of the world’s most exclusive viscose rugs. All of their models are manufactured and sold with these exact edging options, both directly from the factory and through us, which reflects the industry standard for this type of rug. We are sorry that your visit did not meet your expectations, but we feel that we have been transparent and clear in our emails, on our website, and in-store about what is technically possible.
