Dish described as risotto arrived with a small amount of risotto underneath a large amount of raw tuna, staff offered to fix it but the tuna has already been sliced, put on a plate and now had pieces of rice and root vegetable stuck to it food poisoning seemed a likely outcome, staff then argued that the dish was supposed to be like that, no offer of fresh dish was made and the bill was not discounted, if you value your health avoid this place

Svar från La Fontana

Thank you for your feedback. However, we would like to clarify a misunderstanding regarding this dish. The tuna served with this dish is high-quality sashimi-grade tuna and is served medium rare, which is a very common way of preparing and serving tuna in restaurants around the world. It was therefore neither incorrectly nor insufficiently cooked. If you prefer your tuna more thoroughly cooked, we are of course happy to prepare it that way, but this needs to be requested when ordering. We would also like to make it clear that suggesting there is a risk of food poisoning simply because the tuna is served medium rare is misleading. The degree of cooking is an intentional part of the dish. We are sorry that the dish did not meet your expectations, but it was served exactly as intended.

Beautiful location for people watching in Visby! I visited twice during my week in Visby. The Toast Skagen was definitely the tops but the köttbullar was mediocre. The staff is accommodating and pleasant. I’ll return!
