The dogsled day tour was a delightful experience for us. We were picked up from our hotel in Kiruna and drove to Jukkasjärvi to the dog kennel where we started the tour. We interacted with the dogs before getting on the sled, who were really friendly, and very excited for the tour to start. It was amazing to see how quickly the barking stopped as soon as we started to move on the sled, through the forest in complete silence. We stopped at a frozen lake and enjoyed some hot coffee and cinnamon rolls, where we also spotted a group of reindeer. We rode the sled through the snow-covered forest landscape and over the frozen lake and enjoyed the views in clear sunny weather. Overall it was a fantastic experience a really fun activity to do in Kiruna. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Kirunadogsled.
Fue genial. Cogimos el tour de noche para ver las auroras boreales pero sabíamos que no iba a ser posible pues la probabilidad era muy baja y estaba nublado. Aún así nos encantó la experiencia. Las chicas encantadoras y se nota mucho el cariño que les tienen a los perros y lo bien que los cuidan. A mitad de recorrido nos paramos en un lago helado y nos metimos en un Tipi con café, te y rollitos de canela. Fue una experiencia muy chula! Gracias
Booking the daytime dog sled tour was absolutely the right decision for us. It was a sunny day though freezing cold at -17degree C….
Luckily we got another warm layer of clothes as sitting on the sled really can cool you down….

The dog sled tour was absolutely amazing, and our guide was super friendly. It was fun to watch the dogs play with each other and then instantly switch into full adventure mode, pulling us across the snow. Cute little beasts with a lot of energy! We were lucky enough to spot the Northern Lights during the ride, which made the experience even more magical.
During the break, we warmed up with cookies and coffee inside a cozy Sami hut, which was the perfect halfway mark.
An amazing experience! We highly recommend this place. Wonderful people, and you can clearly see that they love dogs and are truly passionate about what they do. An unforgettable experience — we wholeheartedly recommend it!
Van de zes activiteiten die we afgelopen week in Lapland gedaan hebben vonden wij dit echt de beste. We werden bij ons hotel opgehaald en gingen een stukje buiten Kiruna naar de plek waar deze honden wonen. Nadat we ons omgekleed hadden, kregen we een goede uitleg over het besturen van de slee en gingen we op pad. We deden een vrij lange, afwisselende route.
Wij hadden bewust een route geboekt waarbij we zelf de slee mochten besturen, dat is echt een heel bijzondere ervaring!
De lunch was ook ontzettend goed verzorgd. Echt een aanrader!!
