I have purchased 2 hats from Hufvud , they are the very finest hats I’ve ever had. Mikael Einarsson has a special talent and you can tell he loves each hat he makes. He also gets them shipped to you as quickly as possible If you want a hat that’s not like any other that’s made with highest quality , this is the place you won’t regret it I’m very happy with mine Peter Del Giudice

Buying from Hufvud has to be the best shopping experience I've had. Mikael, the proprietor, is very responsive and incredibly helpful. I purchased a custom hat, and during the process we exchanged dozens of emails discussing all the details, particularly the colours, at some length. Mikael was kind enough to offer lots of gudance and to take tons of pictures of the various felts, ribbons and combinations thereof in order to help me determine exactly what works best for me. He also offered up his own input as to some of the design choices, which was very helpful, and didn't flinch at my very specific and nitpicky requests, particularly regarding the bow design. The finished article is superbly crafted and exactly to my specifications. I will definitely be buying again.

I recently ordered my first Hufvud hat, a Whippet 50x Beaver Blend. Mikael was responsive and engaged from the start. We worked closely together on sizing and I picked a color combination I fell in love with on his site. The entire process took about five or six weeks, from ordering to delivery to the USA from Sweden via FedEx. The hat is gorgeous, meticulously crafted, fits like a glove and he included few special touches including personalization in the sweatband. It took my breath away when I saw pictures of it in Sweden. Handling it was a privilege. These hats are clearly a labor of love for him — which probably explains why his customers (including this one) love them just as ferociously. 100% worth it. Thank you.

Excellent on both counts: customer assistance and experience (with step by step customisation and thorough and prompt responses to customer's queries) and craftsmanship (a superbly made hat, with the utmost attention to details, like stitching and even pouncing). My overall experience has been way better than with more celebrated brands like Herbert Johnson. I bought a second hat one year later (a straw hat for the summer this time), and I'm happy to confirm my previous review: Hufvud is consistently excellent!
