Mitt i centrum ligger detta mindre men charmiga hotell , trevlig och hjälpsam personal . God frukost men även den mindre kvällsbuffen är toppen och väldigt god. Kommer att återkomma hit varje gång vi är i Karlskrona med utan tvekan ! Rekommenderas varmt ♥️

Hotell Aston is a charming hotel in the heart of Karlskrona, but what makes it particularly interesting is its fascinating connection to one of the most dramatic episodes of the Cold War. The hotel is known as the “Submarine Hotel”, a nickname linked to the famous Soviet submarine U137 incident in 1981. When the submarine ran aground in the Karlskrona archipelago, the story attracted international attention and journalists from around the world descended on the city. Hotell Aston became a base for many of these journalists, with both Swedish and Soviet reporters staying under the same roof. This remarkable connection to Karlskrona's naval and Cold War history gives the hotel a real sense of character. Maritime and submarine references around the hotel add to its quirky atmosphere, making it much more memorable than an ordinary city hotel. The hotel is also ideally located for exploring Karlskrona, with the pedestrian centre and many of the city's historic attractions within easy reach.
