We stayed in room 106 after we were offered an upgrade. I’m very thankful for this upgrade as the room was lovely. The checking-in experience was decently straightforward, we checked in at 1am but no 24/7 reception so we had to phone up to gain a code for the main door. When we phoned up, it was answered very quickly. We got into the building and were directed to where the safe where our key was. We had difficulty locating the room, as 103 is by reception but 106 is the other side of the hotel. We phoned up again and thankfully the helpful lady on the other side told us how to get to our room, which is through the main hotel lobby and then through an end door, then downstairs. The room is a lovely, old styled room. First impressions were great, very large apartment, there is a few issues. Not all doors lock, only some have a turning lock and some have a key lock which we didn’t have. There’s a few areas of peeling paint. The double doors in some areas of the apartment are visually stunning, all have a lock, however the lock doesn’t do anything as the doors get pushed open anyways, so the lock is a bit useless. Shower cubicle was great, huge space to shower with brilliant high pressure. We were very pleased. Beds are comfy, however the two double rooms are single beds pushed together, the mattresses can push apart. The apartment was very clean, beds all fresh, floors clean and furniture sanitary. Overall I would definitely stay in this hotel again, its position is ideal for close activities and the train station.
