Met with a condescending and unwelcoming barkeep straight of. Waited for ages for the food which somehow was cold and quite bland when it came out. Atmosphere and the crowd was good. Might be a nice place to drink, but the service was awful and food was bad. Never returning to this place.

This review is particularly frustrating to write because Holy Moly gets some important things right. The atmosphere is lively, the crowd is good, and it's a great place for a night out with friends or family. I was there with my son, and the venue itself created a pleasant setting for the evening. Unfortunately, what completely overshadowed the experience was the bar service. Throughout the night I had been drinking bottled beer. When I went to order the final round, I was unexpectedly served a draft beer instead. I politely pointed out that I wanted the same bottled beer I had been drinking all evening. Despite repeated requests, I was refused the bottled option and was left with a drink I had not ordered. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of effort to resolve it. There was no willingness to exchange the drink, no meaningful explanation, and ultimately no refund offered. A simple customer service issue was turned into an unnecessary confrontation. Good bars understand that hospitality is not just about serving drinks; it's about listening to customers and handling small mistakes professionally. Instead, I was left with the impression that customer satisfaction was secondary to staff convenience. It's disappointing because the venue itself has a lot going for it. However, when basic service standards break down, the atmosphere and crowd can only compensate so much. Based on this experience, I left feeling disappointed rather than welcomed, and unfortunately I have no plans to return.
