We lazen in eerdere reviews dat de kamers sober zijn ingericht. Wij vonden het juist erg prettig dat we in een kamer zaten zonder al te veel poespas. Gewoon gezellig en sfeervol ingericht en als je iets te kort kwam hoefde je dat maar even aan te geven aan Michel en Brenda, de eigenaren, en stonden direct voor je klaar. Ook de aankomst, het verblijf en de communicatie vonden wij erg prettig. Duidelijk, passievol en gewoon waar het op stond met de nodige humor. Michel en Brenda stralen de droom van velen uit: leef je droom! Ontzetten aardige mensen met maar 1 doel: jou laten genieten van het Zweedse leven. Het ontbijt vonden wij juist erg lekker en efficiënt gevonden, je krijgt alles geserveerd en je komt niks tekort. Kortom, dit is een echte aanrader voor wie Zweden op z'n Nederlands wil ontdekken. Wij komen in ieder geval zeker nog eens terug en danken Michel en Brenda voor hun uitmuntende gastvrijheid.

The building is refurbished by the owner and looks nice. However the sound insulation between the rooms is not very good. Even the smallest sound is heard and the owner will get mad. The mood will change completely and it will not be a nice stay unless you are silent as mouse. To sum it up - this place is for older people - the owner will like that.

Thank you for your review. We would also like to share our side of the story and explain what happened that night. You returned to the hotel late at night and played loud music in your room. The windows were also open, which meant that the sound travelled even further. Unfortunately, even good sound insulation cannot do much when windows are open and loud music is being played. The guests next door asked you to turn the music down, but unfortunately, it continued until around 4:00 AM, keeping them awake. So you are absolutely right about one thing: we do not want guests who show no consideration or respect for the other people staying at our hotel, regardless of their age. When you disturb other guests in the middle of the night, we have a responsibility as hotel owners to step in. And yes, as the owner, I can become rather grumpy when guests knowingly keep others awake until 4:00 AM. We believe that respect works both ways. We treat our guests with respect and expect the same in return. Unfortunately, on this occasion, that respect was not shown towards the other guests.

This is our favourite place to stop overnight at when driving between southern Sweden and Norway. The Dutch owners have done an incredible job transforming an old school into a beautiful hotel with a restaurant, spa and various activities. You can really see how much thought, care and hard work has gone into every detail, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a wonderful vibe. The food is excellent, with beautifully prepared dishes and perfectly sized portions. I especially appreciated that the main courses aren't unnecessarily large, leaving room to enjoy a starter and dessert without feeling overly full, and reducing food waste at the same time. The grounds are fantastic for both adults and children. There is a large garden with volleyball, badminton and table tennis, as well as a lovely play area with a trampoline, swings and a playhouse. The little fairy tale trail through the forest is exciting for the kids. The rooms are spotless, and breakfast is another highlight. Instead of a buffet, you choose from different breakfast styles, such as Healthy, French or English, which makes it feel much more personal and freshly prepared. The entire team is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and it's wonderful to see young people from across Europe helping to create such a positive atmosphere. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway with great food, beautiful surroundings and genuinely warm hospitality, I can highly recommend Guesthouse Eleven. We will be back.

Ontzettend mooie lokatie. Centraal om de nodige uitstapjes te ondernemen. Ontzettend aardige eigenaren en je kan er heerlijk eten. Prettige sfeer en ruimte eromheen. Arvika is een leuk stadje.
