I was craving for something wholesome and comforting as it was autumn and saw that this stall in the food court which served stews and Swedish home cooking. Made up my mind to go for the venison stew (hjortgryta) with mashed potatoes at 139kr. Customers can choose between boiled potatoes / mashed potatoes / fries / rice as the base of the dish they order. They offer other delicious-sounding choices too such as chili con carne, schnitzel, meatballs, Kentucky fried chicken and many more. Customers can only help themselves to the “salad bar” which includes bread and coffee. The food was delicious and my friend who ordered the schnitzel and fries was so happy with her food too. Generous portion with the reasonable price. My venison stew exceeded my expectations and the meat was very tender and it came served with lingonberry too. I think we came at the right time when it was off peak and the mall was calm. It was a good dining experience even though we were in the food court; no screaming kids, no crowds. We could sit down to enjoy our meal and conversation. I’d love to try the Kentucky fried chicken next time.
