I have really good memories about the year I spent living at the Greenhouse with all the lovely people I met here. However, since the accommodation itself is not in the best condition, I sadly don't feel like recommending living there unless somebody is desperately searching for short-term student housing in Lund (mind you that they have a long contract termination period, though). First of all, the price I paid for a 10m2 room, shared bathroom and kitchen, was more than unreasonably high. It was all the more disappointing that there was practically a lack of professional cleaning during most of the time (it only worked shortly when a dutiful tenant was emloyed there, but that felt quite awkward for the community life) - even though it was stated in the contract. Some of the people I had to share spaces with were extremely messy but nothing was done about that from the side of the housing provider. Some people don't clean their bathrooms at all, and it is disgusting to live right next doors. The corridor and the kitchen floor weren't cleaned nearly as much as it would have been appropriate, and the kitchen felt very dirty, with many things not functioning there. You have usually less storage space there than in the corridors in the city. Also, there are no roofed parking spaces for bikes, which are practically necessary for those who go to the city center often. The closest bus stop with regular schedule is 15 min away by walk and ICA around 20. Both would have been okay if the gravel road through the field was rideable safely by bike, but it was in terrible condition during my stay and not maintained in winter. There are no lights there, either. Even though I enjoy living in a secluded house in peace, close to nature and away from light pollution, it can be tricky to move around or go to school and it definitely affects your chances of socializing beyond the corridor itself. Last but not least, I would like to say that Ella, the manager, was very kind and always tried to help as much as she could. She really helped me feel welcome, which I warmly appreciate. However, not all of the problems we complained about were addressed by her, probably because the owner of the house has an extremely tight budget. That was quite irksome, since some things simply need renovation or thorough cleaning. Indeed, if there were one thing I would recommend investing into, it would definitely be cleaning.

I had the most wonderful time here from 2020 - 2022. I made countless memories and found friends for life. There is no day that goes by without me missing the great view from the common room over the fields.

The New Greenhouse was an excellent place for me to stay in my first semester at Lund University. It has an active community life that was easy to join in on. I have fond memories of potluck dinners with students preparing and sharing their favorite home dishes with each other. There were also plenty of movie nights. The building manager, Ella, is very kind and easy to reach; I felt comfortable asking for help and even just advice on where to get a haircut. While it is a bit out of the way compared to other corridor housings in Lund, there are bus stops only a 10 and 20 minute walk away, and well maintained bike paths which can get you to the city center in just 20 minutes. The lack of light pollution is also really nice for star gazing. The nearest grocery store is the Linero Torg ICA, and it is just 20 minutes by foot and far less by bike.

A truly fantastic and welcoming place! It offers a wonderfully clean and peaceful atmosphere, perfect for studying amidst the tranquility of the city outskirts and the lovely sight of ideal plantations nearby. Yet, there's still a great social vibe. Being a short hop from the university but nestled in this serene setting was ideal. The manager is exceptionally friendly and helpful – the best in Europe! Plus, a really respectful student community. Honestly, the hardest part is leaving such a great place!

New Greenhouse is a truly lovely place to stay just outside Lund. While it's a bit away from the city center, the peaceful surroundings and nature make it a wonderful place to live. It’s well connected, and getting to the city is easy by bus or bike. What really makes this place special are the people — warm, welcoming, and international. There’s a real sense of community that makes you feel at home from the beginning. The room was cozy and comfortable, and the shared spaces were well-equipped. Whenever something wasn't clean, it was more due to the residents than to the place itself. The internet was excellent — stable and fast, never once failed during my stay. You also get free access to a sauna, gym, and washing machines — all of which worked perfectly and made daily life so much easier and more enjoyable. I'm really grateful for my time at New Greenhouse and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a calm, friendly, and well-maintained place to stay in Lund!

I had a good time with the students and the people who work in that place. I recommend students to move there and enjoy the nature in Skåne..

this is a tough one to decide, when i was looking for accoms in Lund the reviews for greenhouse weren;t the best but i risked it and absolutely loved it (despite all of its downsides), this is my personal experience and some people may find that they can't overlook some things so proceed with caution! advantages: - i had a 11 m2 room on the first floor and despite what everyone is saying about the first floor it's amazing; yes, the kitchen and common area aren't as fancy as any other floor but it's only like 15 people and the community is amazing, you constantly see the same people and eventually become close - the shared bathroom was tiny but completely managable for 4 people - because my room was small it was actually really warm in the winter, but beware because in the bigger rooms on the same floor the heating indeed didn't work and the manager didn't do anything about it - the laundry is free, there is a gym and a sauna andd all cooking utensils in the kitchen - the views from the windows are amazing :) - can't stress enough what amazing community there is, it's so easy to become friends with people you share the same space is, it's truly unforgettable disadvantages: - the main one for me was the proximity from everything, it's literally out of town and the closest bus stop where the buses actually go regularly is 15 minutes of walking away, i didn't have a bike so some events in the city had to be compromised because going there would take like 45 mins, the wind in the middle of the fields is diabolical but at the end of the day i love walking and it wasn't a huge problem for me, i learned to love the landscape :) - the whole house has only one manager that is responsible for well managing and it's clear she can't cope with everything, she's super sweet but basically every problem that was reported to her (broken heating or sth) was ignored, she's rarely in the house so it's impossible to adress her directly, it would be better to just have more people overlooking the house running smoothly - i can confirm that some rooms were cold in the winter cause the heating didn't work, but once again mine was super warm so it's a gamble - i moved in on the 20th of August and moved out in the beginning of January but still had to pay full price for both August and January which sucks, so the contract isn't elastic you can weigh out the pros and cons, some people felt sorry for me when i told them where i live haha but I would always defend it, my experience living here was like 85% positive!
