The Göteborg Walking Tour with Jonaz was certainly a highlight of our stay in Göteborg - in many ways: Jonaz guides his guests through the city with a wealth of historical knowledge and, as a local, brings the culture, atmosphere, and unique character of the city vividly to life. He is open to all questions and provides tips and insights into things and connections that an ordinary tourist would never notice. On top of that, he has a great sense of humor and remains calm and composed even when a surprise rain shower hits in the middle of a summer day. Highly recommended, and once again, thank you so much, Jonaz!
I took part in a group tour of Gothenburg with Jonaz as our guide, and it was a very pleasant experience. Jonaz provided a clear historical and practical overview of the city, explaining its different phases of development, while also sharing cultural insights and interesting facts about Gothenburg and its people. The two hours passed very quickly. Jonaz was very friendly, had a great sense of humour, and was always attentive to the group and our questions. He was also very helpful in answering our questions and gave us useful tips for the days we plan to spend in Gothenburg. Thank you!
I've been on these kind of tours all around the world and this one was the worst.. the guide showed up late. She was uninterested in the group. We did more walking than anything else and she missed many opportunities to tell us things, instead said things like "I'm sure you know why" but never explained. The tour was due to last 1.5 hours and ended early. We we happy to leave as we didn't find it enjoyable.
The range of reviews on here made us skeptical at first, but we decided to give it a try anyway. Abby made the tour both informative and entertaining and it was a good introduction to the city and what it has to offer.
(She definitely spoke loud enough ;) )
Brilliant walking tour! Great pace and perfect amount of information. Superb way to start a trip. Guide was lovely! Able to Tip on card so no need for cash
We had a very friendly guide and the tour consisted out of almost 2 hours going from the city center to the industrial center. We went out to eat in one of the places she recommended and loved it.
I took the walking tour today. Only three people showed up but our guide was happy to lead us anyway. She called us an intimate group! She has only lived in the city two years but she loves the place and has taken the trouble to learn its history and idiosyncrasies. All this she is able to convey with an infectious enthusiasm and passion. She also pointed out good places to eat traditional Swedish food and helped me to organize the rest of my day. It was two hours well spent.
Jonaz was our guide for the walking tour & his interest, his knowledge & love for the city was obvious in the stories & facts he shared with us. We felt a greater affection for the city at the end of the tour & learnt a lot. Recommend it!
