I’ve spent four days cutting pine trees for a landowner in the Hultsfred area. I do this for a living, so know when my body needs a reset. Rhea’s studio is surrounded with massive glass windows showing off the forest around her. I lie down on a brand-new massage table that is thankfully as long as me. Rhea has the right attitude to oil. Hot. Not scorching. Liberal from the start. She has firm grip, that she uses in long, fluid strokes to knead a muscle or parse tissue. She moves expertly from my shoulders down, switching between arms and sides, pushing and squeezing to re-allocate my skeleton. She has a neat trick of massaging through a hot towel to get rid of the excess oil. I fall asleep halfway through my 75 minutes. Rhea is an expert at feet, able to rip out the pain without causing it. There is comfort in being inside your body, fully aware, with someone else knowing exactly how to readjust it. Rhea does just that. She gets five stars because I feel a million dollars.

I’ve spent four days cutting large pine tree for a landowner in the Hultsfred area. It’s hard but satisfying work felling and processing trees in such a beautiful place. I do this for a living, so I know when my body needs a reset. I walked into Rhea’s studio off a side street in Målilla. Massive glass windows show off the forest around her. Serene Ocean Music – a compilation of Elysian Heart, Esciv X and Inner Cabin – is washing through the room. I lie down on a brand-new massage table that is (unusually) as long as me. Rhea has the right attitude to oil. Hot. Not scorching. But she is liberal from the start. I have asked for her Svensk Klassisks Massage. She has firm grip, that she uses in long, fluid strokes to knead a muscle or parse tissue. She moves expertly from my shoulders down, switching between arms and sides, pushing and squeezing to re-allocate my skeleton, and then streaming down the tissues. She has a neat trick of continuing to massage an area with a hot towel to get rid of the excess oil. Rhea has asked me about medical conditions, and while I’ve told her little, she is intuitive in avoiding damaged bits (I fell through a chair recently – try to explain that). I fall asleep halfway through my 75 minutes. Rhea is an expert at feet. She is able to rip out the pain without causing it. I usually twitch all over the place, but I don’t move a muscle. There is comfort in being inside your body, fully aware, with someone else knowing exactly how to readjust it. Rhea does just that. She gets five stars because I feel a million dollars.

Rhea is an excellent massage therapist! I felt like a newborn baby afterwards. Everything is just perfect for a relaxing massage: the room, the music, the scent. Pure happiness! Can‘t wait for my next treatment. I had a Swedish massage today and will try the aroma therapy massage next time 👍🏼

Det var verklingen en 5-tjärnig massagebehandling med hot-stone terapi. Jag kan rekommendera till Mina vänner att prova det.
