I gave birth in this hospital 5 years ago! I am still struggling with the bad memories. Since the baby was kind of big (according to them almost on the too big side to deliver naturally) I have requested to have a c-section but that request was rejected. They promised me in case of any complications they will perform c-section. I have also requested them not to use any type of vacuum on the baby. Long story short, I got epidural but their doctor did it wrong and it was only effective on half of my body! The rest of my body could still feel everything! I complained but they didn’t call the doctor! Instead they gave me another dose of epidural and that made half of my body completely paralysed (while the rest of my body was in such excruciating pain). I could not even move my legs so at the end I had to lie down on my back during the last part of it. And guess what! They used the vacuum extraction at the end anyway. The doctor they called was threatening me all the way along by saying “if you dont push harder and wont cooperate we will use the vacuum extraction” I was in such vulnerable situation and yet didn’t get any sympathy from them but just threatening. Or for example telling me that my daughter is trying so hard to come out and I should try harder… that whole vacuuming gave me a big tear that they ended up with an extra 4 hours of giving me stitches following by losing a lot of blood. The whole time I could not be with me daughter fully just short cuddles and I was crying the whole time. I could not speak to anyone about this because for a long time that made me really anxious and I couldn’t keep my tears back! Every time I wanted to even think about having a second child I became overwhelmed by those bad feelings and memories… Oh and by the way, they handed the baby to my husband so carelessly that he almost dropped her! Even one star is too much!

Födde mitt tredje barn i Falun för ett par dagar sedan (har tidigare fött i Stockholm) och jag kan äntligen säga att jag har upplevt en dröm förlossning där man känner att man har blivit hörd, sedd och trevligt bemött av ALLA som jobbade de 2 dygnen vi var där. Tusen tack ❤️

Vårt andra barn föddes här i går och vi är lika nöjda som förra gången! Väljer förlossningen i Falun istället för Hudiksvall som vi egentligen tillhör (Gävleborg) då vi bor i Edsbyn då vi även varit i Hudiksvall och tycker att både lokalerna, utrustning, personalens teamwork och attityd (troligen kopplat till arbetsbelastning) är bättre i Falun där dom är fantastiska! 👍👍

For the international audience: We had a great experience giving birth here and would recommend it. The birth was particularly long and quite difficult, but we were helped every step of the way by both midwifes and a doctor. You can stay at the patient hotel for a moderate amount during and following the birth, which makes the first couple of days a lot easier with help for breastfeeding and general check-ups. Only negative thing for us was the refusal to answer expected time-to-delivery as they seem to have a policy against this. We were at times wondering whether the birth was going anywhere, but I can see now from the journal that the baby was steadily moving ahead.

All personal som arbetade just den 1990-09-22. Dom var gulliga, trevliga, hjälpsamma. Lugnt var det då, denna lördag. Och sedan så har jag ju varit här 2 ggr till, fått tre barn till. Jag skulle tänka mig att göra om det en gång till.💞💖☀️🐕🐈🐎.

Åkte in för en kontroll när sambon hade oro och besvärliga sammandragningar. All personal var så trevliga! superbra bemötande. 6 av 5 stjärnor. Svensk sjukvård när den är som bäst!
