I gave birth at St:Görans in November and they traumatised me for life. If you had a straight forward birth or a planned one, you would probably have a good experience here. That is not what I had unfortunately, I got very sick during birth and that is where they really failed me. I had a very healthy pregnancy but went passed my due date. I got appointment for inducing 10 days after my due date. 7 days after my due date, I started getting contractions. When my contractions were regular and frequent, we called them. Long story short though I was in labor, we got sent home multiple times. The last time they sent me home I was dialating and was already checked in a room where they came back and said sorry apparently there is no space you have to go home. They even gave me a shot to stop my contractions and told me to come back on my scheduled appointment for induction the next morning! Till this day I dont know why I didn't refuse that but in the moment you just can't think. I ended up being in painful labor for days without pain relief. What was worse, during this time I developed preeclamsia. I know it happened during this late phase because my midwife had checked me days after my due date had passed and I was doing just fine. Let's say this was pure bad luck but unfortunately it goes on. After they finally admitted me and realised I had preeclampsia (oooops!) they started treating it. But even after being admitted, I could not get pain medication because we had to wait for a standard blood test result for 5 hours. By the time I could get my epidural, I was pretty much there. I ended up having 3rd degree tears during birth. I had a very good midwife that took me 90% of the way and as the baby's head was showing, her shift ended and out she goes and in comes a stranger. She was unfortunately not very good (again, inconsistency) which led to pretty severe tearing. In order to fix that, I had to wait for hours for an operating room. I bled on that wet bed with only a cover on, with the wound completely open for at least 3 hours. One thing I will say is that the surgical staff were very good and competent. I felt very safe with them. This place has plenty of staff - to the point where during my 4 days, I have not seen the same doctor, same midwife or nurse twice. Some of the staff are very nice and competent (like my initial midwife and people who did my surgery), others not so much so consistency is a big problem. Like some nurses are excellent, most cannot properly draw blood without damaging a vein. They also don't communicate effectively. That is one of their biggest problems. I got mixed information about everything during my stay there. For example one doctor would say I had mild preeclamsiq, and the other would come and say I had a severe case. Mind you, it is normal for my condition to change over time but they had a totally different perception of what DID happen. All of them would come in the room and ask me if I understood what happened to me where it wasn't clear to me if they understood themselves. I was completely mentally and physically broken and was very much out of it so I wouldn't trust my feelings 100% but even my sambo, after 3 days in this place said that I was the only person in that building he trusted and we should leave that asylum in the morning which is what we did. Before you check out, they promise all kinds of check ups but once you leave, they don't care. After many calls the best I could get is my preeclamsia being dumped to my husläkare, my third degree tears dumped to my midwife and a fiziotherapy referral to a clinic that is nearly an hour away from my home. I had heard many great things about this place before I chose it, mostly from people who went in and out without problems. Unfortunately things can go wrong, and when they do you want to be in a proper hospital with consistent good care and this is not it.

Operationspersonalen (kjersarsnittet) var helt fantastiska, men eftervården var under all kritik! 800 kr togs per natt men det fanns ingen mat ,det var utplockat!! Och rekommendationen var att ringa foodora..de hade inga besökstider och inga rullstolar för bebisar . När man skulle gå hem fick vi instruktioner att dra av sängkläderna och slänga i säckarna i badrummet. Kan man ta det trippla priset per natt (jämfört med andra sjukhus) så bör man se till att ge det lilla extra.

Att föda på St. Görans förlossning var en oväntat positiv upplevelse! Personalen och deras bemötande mot min fru och mig var hjärtliga och väldigt uppskattade. Vi kände oss trygga, och upplevelsen av förlossningen var så underbar att det definitivt motiverar oss att skaffa fler barn – och vi kommer utan tvekan att återvända till samma plats. Tack till alla som tog så väl hand om oss! ❤️❤️❤️ Andrei och Tania

St Görans förlossning i allmänhet och Nawal i synnerhet. Tack till alla för att ni är dem ni är och gör det ni gör. Tack till Helen, Thomas, Gabriella för att nämna några och glömma några men framförallt Nawal. Vilken hjälte! Otrolig personal och otrolig upplevelse. Rekommenderar starkt att anmäla sig hit. Dem är fantastiska. Tack för allt / mamma Emma, pappa Marcus och lilla Frans.
