We have visited Dashi for a lunch seating just before their summer vacation. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Service felt high-class, every staff member was super trained and attentive. At highest points service felt very personal and warm, but there were moments when it was just a bit too formal. We sat at the high table since there were no seats left at the counter, and we felt like the staff engaged much more with those who sat there. We felt a bit ignored at certain points, and some servings felt rushed: give a very fast description of the dish and run away immediately. We’ve ordered honey lemonade twice during the service, and the second time it tasted so much more intense and less diluted. We didn’t know what it was supposed to taste, and we expected more consistency from a Michelin star-rated place. We gave feedback to the staff, they apologized — and yet, it was included in the bill. That soured our experience a bit, made us feel like they didn’t care that much. The food was somewhat a similar story. Some things were just brilliant. The highlights for us were trout & citrus tartallettes and two desserts: pistachio and strawberry. Absolutely fantastic. All other dishes were very good and had a lot going on in terms of flavors and textures. It was certainly an experience, but they just didn’t “wow” us. It could be a matter of taste and personal preferences, of course. Would I recommend it? I would say yes. The experience was worth it. You can clearly see the passion and creativity, attention, craft, and training that were put into this place. At the same time, if you are looking for that “extra mile” or “once in a lifetime” experience, perhaps there are better places. Or maybe we were just unlucky with the time and seating 🙂

I booked a table at dashi for my boyfriend's birthday and we couldn't have been more happy. Was both our first experience in a Michelin star restaurant, the expectations were very high and they nailed it completely! The food was undescribably good and the service was so professional and "chill" at the same time! I suggest this place to everyone and a big THANKS to chefs and staff🧡
