Convenient location for getting around. The hostel was clean, quiet, and had everything I needed. Never had to wait for the shared showers or toilets, but no shampoo or body wash was provided.

i really enjoyed my stay here, not the first night though, as i agree with another reviewer here that the mixed dorm is predominantly men and they're super inconsiderate and weird. castanea would benefit from having larger only female room because i know the girlies would eat that up! very good location, quiet from the main gamla stan area and it's super cute.

The hostel was amazing!! The hospitality was great and the services were good. There was a kitchen with some leftovers people left so you could make a coffee or even make a little breakfast if you want to save a little money. The kitchen had everything that you would need and was kept clean by the guests. The bathroom amenities were clean. The common room was also very cute with some games and books to choose from.

I stayed in the large mixed dorm room as a solo female traveller and I would not recommend it. The room was majority male during my stay, and many of them slept completely naked and on display, stared openly at the female travellers, and generally had bad hygiene. Many of the people here did not pay extra for the sheets, so were sweating etc. right onto the mattresses, duvets and pillows. It was a hot week in summer and the smell in this room was sickly. There are no curtains or privacy around the bunks. If staying here, I suggest bringing a towel or something to create some privacy of your own and staying in one of the smaller rooms with less people. There are only 4 showers and 4 toilets shared among around 30 people, so often a wait for both. The showers are all in one room and there was a couple that shared one shower, making loud noises while at the same time some children (guessing 5-8 years old) were also staying and came into the shower room. Very awkward. I mentioned this to the staff who happened to be in their office at the time and they said “there’s not much we can do”. There are not staff always on site, only a few hours during the day. The location is good, right in old town, close to the metro and the ferries out to the archipelago islands.

Way much better than a regular hostel. It’s kinda boutique. It was really clean and the staff were always responsive and helpful. The location is the best you can find in Stockholm .

Es un hostel MUY básico. Estando en una habitación privada hemos tenido que pagar por sábanas y toallas. La primera vez que me pasa en mi vida. Las habitaciones, colchones, duchas... todo es muy elemental. Francamente, esperaba más. La ubicación es excelente y el personal es encantador pero las "comodidades" del hostel son inexistentes. El colchón no es bueno, lo que unido a los ruidos, dificulta el descanso. Para una corta estancia está bien, para más de uno o dos días me iría a otro sitio.
