Now THIS is the kind of café that you want to stumble upon when visiting a small town! PLENTY of exquisite high-quality goods, ranging from some very unique pastries to your standard selection of sandwiches, as well as a mixture of food suitable for lunch. Great coffee at decent prices, especially for a place like this, and while some of the pastries might feel a bit steep (such as the Nutella cheesecake), you really do get what you’re paying for! I had a fantastic carrot cheesecake and equally delicious citrus cannoli, and I expected nothing less from a café that is cultivated enough to offer pastry forks (and also includes a piece of chocolate when serving a cappuccino). Quite large on the inside with plenty of seating meant for bigger group of people, with enough space for strollers etc. to get to any table. Which means that coming here during busy hours will have you dealing with families, possibly having to sit next to a baby crying. Luckily there’s a second floor where one can hide and find some peace and quiet! And you can tell that the owner really thought about families, because the spacious bathroom (which is quite stylish and nicely decorated) has everything needed to care for the little ones, should you bring one and need to change a diaper or whatnot. The only thing that struck me while enjoying my fika was how small the ear/loop handle was on my cups, at least when having a cappuccino. Clearly they’re more for decoration than of any practical use, because I couldn’t fit a regular sized finger through it and felt too scared of spilling my coffee to only pinch it. Luckily the temperature was just right, so I had no problem simply holding the cup itself instead! Edit: OH! And speaking of temperature, this cafe is really really warm!! I’ll be wearing a tank top next time, because even a t-shirt was a little too much for me - especially when having a coffee X) Overall a great experience and I’ll be coming back for sure, to try out more of the more unique pastries – such as the pear flavored Biskvi and square-shaped, bite-sized Dammsugare!
