UPDATE AUGUST 2026——STILL AWESOME 😎😍 A LITTLE TASTE OF NORMANDY ON FÅRÖ—AMAZING!!!!!We had already eaten at the other 2 places on this compound, Elsie’s and Creperie Tati (Kutens) and were excited to dine at the beautiful stone house called Bistro Albatross on our recent visit to the island. We took a chance on Friday and were told they were sold out that evening but we were able to get a table at our requested time for the next evening instead. The ambience is very charming and rustic with a most beautiful view of the ocean and fields. You really do feel like you have been transported to Normandy. The staff was attentive and charming and we were not disappointed at all!! We started with the lamb meatballs on a bed of ratatouille along with a ramslök pesto bruschetta that was to die for!!!! It was presented beautifully and tasted even better than it looked. We followed that with a hearty bowl of their Fisksoppa that had a variety of fresh fish as well as shrimp in it along with local potatoes and herbs. Again a wonderful melding of tastes and textures and we ate every bite. This dish was served with some fresh crunchy home made bread. There was a lovely choice of wines both by the glass and bottle to choose from along with beers and cocktails. We could not fit any dessert after our choices but there were some lovely ones to choose from for those that had extra room. A Must Experience dining adventure for sure!!!!!
